🏌️ Finish Your Swing

A great golf shot doesn’t end at impact - it ends with a balanced, complete finish.

One of the most common mistakes golfers make is slowing down or stopping the swing as they make contact with the ball. Instead, focus on swinging smoothly through the ball and allowing your body to rotate naturally towards the target.

A strong finish can help improve your balance, tempo and consistency, giving you greater control over every shot.

The next time you're on the range, try holding your finish for 3 seconds after every swing. If you can hold the position comfortably, chances are your balance and tempo were right.

⛳ LISA COETZER INTO THE QUARTER-FINALS! 🇿🇦🌟

We are incredibly proud of our Ebotse Links Ambassador Member, Lisa Coetzer, who has progressed to the quarter-finals of The R&A Girls’ Amateur Championship at Craigielaw in Scotland! 👏🏆

The 16-year-old secured her place in the final eight with an impressive 3&2 victory over Germany’s Julia Zimmermann and will now face France’s Axelle Guillemard in the quarter-finals. Lisa is also the highest-ranked player remaining in the field.

This is Lisa’s third appearance in the Girls’ Amateur and the first time she has reached the quarter-finals - another fantastic milestone in a remarkable 2026 season that has already seen her claim five victories. 🌟

The championship runs until Saturday, 15 August, when the Girls’ Amateur Champion will be crowned.

🧠 Have a Target for Every Shot

One of the biggest differences between average golfers and good golfers is purpose.

Before every shot, pick a very specific target. Not just "the fairway" or "the green" - choose a tree, a bunker edge, a patch of grass, or a spot on the green.

Your body performs far better when it has a precise destination in mind. Vague targets often lead to vague swings and inconsistent results.
