HOW TO BECOME AN IBFF WORLDWIDE™ PRO ATHLETE

An IBFF WORLDWIDE™ Pro Card is a privilege, not an automatic entitlement. Winning a competition or division does not automatically guarantee professional status.

To be considered for an IBFF WORLDWIDE™ Pro Card, the following criteria apply:

Minimum two years' loyalty: An athlete must demonstrate at least two years of active loyalty to IBFF WORLDWIDE™ before being considered for Pro status.

Competitive standard: The athlete must consistently demonstrate the physique, conditioning, presentation, sportsmanship and competitive standard expected of an IBFF WORLDWIDE™ professional athlete.

Pro Card qualification: Pro Cards may only be awarded or offered at competitions or under circumstances officially approved by IBFF WORLDWIDE™.

Division-specific Pro status: A Pro Card is awarded for a specific division. If you earn your Pro Card in Classic Bodybuilding, for example, you remain a Classic Bodybuilding Pro. You may not simply transfer that professional status to Bodybuilding, Muscle Model or another division.

Changing divisions: Should a Pro athlete wish to move to another division, the athlete must return/relinquish their existing Pro Card and return to amateur status in the new division. They must then qualify for consideration for Pro status in that division through the applicable IBFF WORLDWIDE™ process.

Four-week cooling-off period: Once an athlete is offered a Pro Card, there will be a four-week cooling-off period. During this period, the athlete may consider the responsibilities and implications of becoming an IBFF WORLDWIDE™ Pro before making their final decision.

Acceptance: The Pro Card only becomes final once the athlete formally accepts the offer following the required process. If the athlete decides not to accept, they remain an amateur.

Final authority: The awarding and recognition of all IBFF WORLDWIDE™ Pro Cards remains subject to final approval by IBFF WORLDWIDE™ leadership.

A Pro Card should never simply mean that you won on one particular day. It should represent what you have built over time — loyalty to the federation, consistency on stage, professionalism off stage, and the standard expected from someone carrying the title of an IBFF WORLDWIDE™ PRO.
