Emalahleni Sports Council would like to take this opportunity and thank each and every person who braved the cold weather to come and offer support to our own eMalahleni United FC this past Saturday. The results were proof of your support on the day.

This coming weekend the boys will be playing the last 180 minutes as they try to secure promotion to the ABC Motsepe League. We will be hosting Mjali All Stars from Gert Sibande in our semi final and the boys are aware of the task ahead.

We therefore plead with every player, coach, administrator and football lovers of our town to make their way to Witbank High and let the opposition feel that they are away. Your support will be highly appreciated and the boys needs it more than ever. #1039

There's no better place to be tomorrow at 3pm than to attend the second leg of SAB Regional League play offs at the iconic Lynnville Stadium. The pride of Witbank eMalahleni United FC are hosting their rivals Chakalaka FC from Phola as the former are leading the tie by 3 goals to 1.

We would like to wish both Emalahleni Municipality teams all the best and may the best team win. Having said that we also wish our Chairperson who happens to be one of the Coaches at Emalahleni United all the best as the team tries to secure an ABC Motsepe promotion. It's definitely PHOLA v WITBANK 🙏🙏

We just want to state that we have noted concerns raised by local sports activists through this page and the recently held IDP hosted by Emalahleni Municipality. We want to assure you that we are going to do everything possible to try and gather all stakeholders in trying to find workable solutions to the challenges faced by our athletes.

We are having a meeting with the Regional Sports Confederation soon to seek advice on how to engage our Municipality. We also in a process of engaging local sports federation to compile a detailed report regarding the state of sports affairs in our town. As for local companies not investing in our sports it is a concern. If Glencore can commit such amounts to football what stops Africoal in investing on Emalahleni Netball Federation. Lastly we promise a Sports Indaba where all those affected by the ignorance of those in charge will be invited.

It has to be the saddest day for the gaming community and our town for losing one of the most dedicated gamers we've ever known locally. Humphrey did make a presentation to the Council and was looking forward to assisting him in realising his goals with regards to gaming.

The amount of passion he demonstrated in one of our meetings was unbelievable. All he wanted was to cater for those kids who couldn't play soccer, netball etc. The Chairperson who was tasked with engaging Humphrey could not stop raving about the passion he had for his people especially kids of our town.

As a Council we would like to send our condolences to his family and friends. Rest well boy till we meet again 😔😔😔😔🙏🙏🙏🙏.
