WITBANK GOLF BOWLING CLUB

Witbank Golf Bowling Club proudly hosted the Mpumalanga West Veterans Open Singles, where esteemed veterans showcased their skills for the coveted trophy. The event was complemented by fine food and beverages, made possible by key contributors. Heartfelt thanks to Barry Delvoldere, Mpumalanga West President, for gracing the event with his presence, Sam Curtis for food preparation, James Moulder for beverage catering, the greenkeeper for outstanding green maintenance, and markers for their invaluable assistance. The final standings were as follows: Gavin Shoobert (WGBC) in 5th place, Simon Mokwena (WGBC) in 4th place, Noel De Villiers (Secunda) in 3rd place, Hanno Kapp (MSC) in 2nd place, and Koos Jonker (Secunda) emerging as the 2026 winner. A special word of congratulations goes to our 2026 Business League champions — Minolta. What a fantastic achievement! Your consistency, teamwork, determination, and competitive spirit throughout the season truly earned you this title. You represented yourselves and your company with pride, and tonight we honour you as deserved winners of the 2026 Business League.

To all the finalists, thank you for the exciting competition and for making this season one to remember. The standard of bowls has been outstanding, and every team played their part in creating a successful and enjoyable league.

The Witbank Golf and Minolta semifinals have been completed, showcasing a thrilling evening of bowls. BNI and Minolta have emerged as the top two teams, set to compete for first and second positions. ETIS 50 and Minolta Stationary will contest third and fourth positions, followed by Limico and ETIS for fifth and sixth, and Ford and Suzuki for seventh and eighth. The last spot in the finals will be decided on April 30th, when Bakkies takes on Formation Civils.
