Everyone has a reason they haven't jumped yet. Most of them fall apart the moment you ask us about them.

The truth is, the hardest part of skydiving is booking it. After that, we take it from there. You'll get a proper briefing on the day, your gear is fitted and checked by people who've done this thousands of times, and on a tandem, your Tandem Master handles the technical side so all you have to do is take it in.

You did the tandem. You loved it. Now you're wondering what it would feel like to do it yourself.

There are two ways up from here.

🪂 Accelerated Freefall (AFF): You're in freefall from your very first jump, with instructors in the air alongside you, coaching you through each stage until you're flying solo. It's the fastest route to independence.

🪂 Static Line: The traditional way in. You exit at 3,500 ft and your parachute opens automatically while you learn the fundamentals, one jump at a time.

Both are taught to Parachute Association of South Africa standards, with proper student gear and qualified instructors. Your First Jump Course includes PASA membership until you qualify, and your licence is possible from 25 jumps.

Courses are open to anyone 16 and up (under 21s need guardian consent).

Manuel Cordeiro has spent 44 years in the sky, logged over 5,500 jumps and has been crowned South African skydiving champion 15 times. He's a qualified AFF, Static Line and Tandem instructor and a senior parachute rigger, so he knows every part of a skydive from the inside out.
