The AJM Breede River Canoe Marathon takes place on 5–6 September, this year it also doubles 🤣 as the SA K2 River Champs!

The exact race course depends on the river conditions following the May floods, and we'll confirm the final route as soon as it's been assessed.

If you're racing, supporting or spectating, we encourage everyone to support the local communities this year. Buy all your weekend groceries in Robertson or Bonnievale.

WANTED: RACE SWEEPS

The Berg River Canoe Marathon is looking for some dedicated paddlers to help sweep for the four days of the event from July 15-18.

Sweeps can do just a day or two, or all four days and earn a finishers medal when they get to Velddrif. These valuable safety paddlers will have the use of the Euro Steel sponsored Carbonology Cruze boats for the event, and will get a R500/day allowance, a crew T-shirt and, if needed, accommodation and meals.

Anybody interested in helping out and seeing the Berg from a unique perspective is asked to contact Francois du Toit (082 561 7886) for more details.

A reminder that only the 150 entries will receive a uniquely branded event towel!
To qualify for the towel:
✅ Enter a K1 event
✅ Guppies must enter ALL Guppy events
Please note:
❌ The towel is unfortunately not available to paddlers entering the short course only.

Race enties have not yet increased, so get your entry in asap!
