I can't remember when lost I curled 60 kg... not since I tore my bicep at Jiu Jitsu... - nice to know that a 57-year-old body wants to heal. And that 57-year-old brain needs some healing too. Work your body because it's good for you and ensures a long life. - but work your brain. It's harder to do cause nobody knows when you're not doing your reps. It's you against you. Happy weekend peeps

Every very hard thing you do today is a gift to your future self. You don't become great at a thing by taking it easy you become great strong better by subjecting yourself to a life that is hard only then can you say you've been stressed tested which hard thing are you going to pick today, that is a gift to your future self?

Didn't feel like Gym today, but did it anyway. I'm glad I went every rep moves you closer to your goals. But you gotta have some goals or else you don't know what you're aiming for.

Some say that if you get all excited about it being the weekend, then your s**t is broken. in all honesty, my s**t used to be broken cause I was like a little child at the prospect of getting a little broken myself, and the culprit was usually the ghost in the bottle. I don't do that anymore and it reminds me of a song from some 60s band with sideburns big hair and platforms…"I can see clearly now the rain is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way....." if you were sitting next to me, I'd break into a song, but since it's just me and TinyRussel, the only breaking that we will do today is that of old habits. What are you gonna do to make today count?

Day 37 of 150.... today was meant to be Leg day - I opted to exert my legs in the mountains with my little friend. nature presents a peaceful reset when the brain is firing in all directions. What did I learn on my walk? That it won't take away the reluctance to do the hard stuff today and yet I will and I must.

Remember that people and things come and go. Some will do it with Grace whilst others will slip out via the back door. Don't beat yourself up and remember that those were chapters .... and you are the whole damn book .... stay strong

Tuesday leg day, it's a bit different especially if you've been out of the gym for a while. The momentum you owned before you got the sniffles has ground to a halt and it's up to you to get things flowing again. Protect your momentum from energy parasites and other little creatures only bent on furthering their own interests. Emotions stem from motion and it's time to move, baby!

Guess who's back? That was two weeks of a cold kicking my ass. But I'm back at it. Ask me if I felt like it this morning. No. Ask me why I pitched anyways and I'll tell you that it's the only way to start your day. If you don't do something hard first thing in the morning, you're going to be on a go slow all day. One go slow is fine but pretty soon the go slow compounds and you're going slow all your life. Why not release the hand brake and go fast for a change?
