🌊⛳ Final Round – SA Stroke Play Championship at Humewood Golf Club

It's Final Day at the SA Stroke Play Championship! The players have been greeted by sublime conditions this morning on Africa's Only True Links, with sunshine and light winds setting the stage for an exciting finish. As the day progresses, the famous Humewood breeze is expected to make its presence felt, ensuring a true test of championship golf.

Best of luck to all the competitors as they battle for the title. Spectators are welcome to come out and enjoy what promises to be a fantastic day of golf.

🏆 A New Champion Has Been Crowned! 🏆

The Humewood Club Championship has a new name etched onto the trophy!

In a thrilling final, the challenger rose to the occasion as Tiaan produced a sensational comeback to defeat the defending champion. After trailing by one hole at the halfway mark, Tiaan found another gear when it mattered most, claiming the 14th, 15th, and 16th holes of the second 18 to seal a memorable 3&2 victory and become the 2026 Humewood Club Champion.

It was a final worthy of the occasion, with both players displaying exceptional golf, determination, and sportsmanship from the opening tee shot to the final putt.

Congratulations also to Michael Holden, who defended his title with great resilience and made the championship a contest to remember.

We are incredibly proud of Tiaan on this outstanding achievement. To capture the Club Championship title in his very first appearance in the Humewood Club Championships is a remarkable accomplishment and speaks volumes about his talent, composure, and ability to perform under pressure. It is a victory that will be remembered for years to come, and we have no doubt this is just the beginning of many more successful championship campaigns.

Club Championship 18-Hole Update!

Michael Holden looks to have found his stride, turning the game in his favour!

After 18 holes, Michael is 1-up, but Tiaan looks up for the challenge and is showing no signs of backing down. With everything still to play for, the final is perfectly poised as the players head into the second 18 holes.

Momentum may be with Michael for now, but one good stretch of golf could see Tiaan swing the match back in his favour. Expect plenty of drama, clutch putts, and big moments as these two battle it out for the Club Championship title.
