Arena Update. Despite appreciating the rainfall in December, it delayed our completion timeline. We have laid the hard base and installed the corner posts yesterday, any progress is considered positive progress.

📣RUGS📣
With the onset of warmer weather, it is essential to ensure your horses are appropriately rugged.
During the day, a cotton rug is generally suitable for most horses at this time of year. For those that sweat easily and require protection from insects a great alternative, is a mesh rug or a hybrid mesh-cotton rug may also be considered.
At night, if you choose to apply a rainsheet or heavy rug, please ensure it can be removed in the morning. Horses can lose significant condition if left heavily rugged during warm to hot weather. This can also lead to dehydration from excessive sweating.
It is worth noting that most horses do not begin to feel the effects of cold temperatures until approximately 5°C. However, it is essential to remember that each horse is unique, much like individuals, and may have distinct requirements.

My favourite saying is "you never stop learning". Over the weekend, we were blessed with some incredible weather and took the opportunity to provide two of the boys with exposure and training. This experience also afforded me the chance to receive feedback from someone else, which is invaluable when you are riding on your own most of the time. Tuti and Scout both performed impeccably and I couldn't be more proud of either of them.
First up in our rider series is Summer!
