🎉 CONGRATULATIONS Kirstin! 🎉

Today we’re very excited to congratulate Kirstin on gaining employment! 👏💜

Kirstin has worked incredibly hard during her time at Purple Chicken building her skills and confidence while also attending TAFE. She is now more than halfway through her Certificate III in Commercial Cookery — and all that hard work is paying off!

She is now taking the next exciting step and moving into employment at Henri’s. 👩‍🍳✨

We are so proud to see the skills she has worked on turn into a real employment opportunity. Her hard work and determination have certainly paid off.

Congratulations, Kirstin! We’re incredibly proud of you and wish you every success in your new job. 💜👏

Tom is showing some serious coffee skills! He always enjoys being able to make latte art and this heart was today’s achievement.

🥕🍰 Teamwork makes the dream work! 🙌

These four joined forces to create one delicious carrot cake! Two tackled the cake base, while the other two took charge of the topping. 💪

Different jobs, one team, and one very tasty result! 😋👏

Working together, sharing the tasks and creating something to be proud of — that’s what we love to see! 💜

No one escapes the jobs around here… not even the boss! 😂

At the cafe, everyone chips in and everyone gives everything a go — no slacking off just because you’re the boss!

Today Jen swapped boss duties for kitchen duties and got stuck into making coffees , cooking AND cleaning.

And judging by the team’s reaction, they were VERY happy to have her in the kitchen! Apparently Jen on kitchen duty is a crowd favourite.

That’s what teamwork looks like — everyone pitching in, learning together and getting the job done!

💜🐔 So much skill building happening at the café!

Last month our team was busy learning skills that can make a real difference to their future. 🌟

🥣 Measuring accurately and following recipes to build confidence with cooking at home.

🤝 Working together, communicating and delegating jobs to get things done as a team.

🧹 Learning cleaning tasks that transfer to home and future workplaces.

🛒 Completing online grocery orders — finding products, choosing quantities and making sure nothing is forgotten.

These might look like everyday café tasks, but each one is an opportunity to work towards individual NDIS goals and build practical skills for life, community participation and future employment.

Small skills today. Bigger possibilities tomorrow. 💜🐔

Shania using the commercial dishwasher. This is an important skill towards employment.

Alex and Shania worked together on this date crumble. (Mmm yummo).

A little bit sweet, a little bit yum,
Nothing beats a Date Crumble crumb! 😋
Golden on top, soft underneath,
The perfect little treat when you need something sweet.
