❗️ ELIMINATION & QUALIFYING FINALS - 15th SEPTEMBER 2026

Week 1 - EDPL - ELIMINATION FINAL & QUALIFYING FINALS
matches will all be held on TUESDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER 2026

• 1ST DIV and 2ND DIV – Elimination & Qualifying Finals
– at POCKETS MOORABBIN, 168 Chesterville Rd, Cheltenham.

• 3RD DIV – Elimination & Qualifying Finals
- at RICHARD BENNEKER'S VENUE, 28 Jersey Road, Bayswater (brick building at back of block).

• 4TH DIV – Elimination & Qualifying Finals
- at THE WHITEHORSE CLUB, 36 Burwood Hwy, Burwood.

**UMPIRES – non-participating teams to provide 3 umpires week 1 Finals on 15th September, at the venue where their division is playing.

If team supplies less umpires, then the umpire/s who do attend will be required to umpire more frames. Number of frames umpired will be announced on the night, depending on how many umpires available.

Week 2 - 22nd Sept - Prelim Finals - 2 umpires required per team
Week 3 - 29th Sept - GRAND FINALS - 2 umpires required per team

*IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - FINALS*

EDPL has received communications regarding the announcement yesterday about the delay of our Winter Finals series by 1 week.

We have received emails & messages of concern from some clubs and members, regarding the postponement of the Grand Final date til 6th October.

EDPL Executives are currently in the process of looking into alternative options, to keep the Grand Finals on the original date.. Tuesday 29th September.

Please bear with us while we find the best solution.

We will send out correspondence this afternoon advising of the outcome. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

‼️ In the meantime, these are the AMENDED FINALS DATES...

* Elimination Finals & Qualifying Finals - Tuesday 15/9

* Preliminary Finals - Tuesday 22/9 - Pockets, Moorabbin

We currently have 44 doubles pairs entered !

Still spots for 4 x more doubles pairs, if anyone interested in playing. EDPL current registered members only, from same club, but can be from different teams/Div, & must've played minimum 50% matches

Will keep entries open til 9am tomorrow morning (Thursday 13/8), to allow 4 more pairs, accepted in order of receipt via EMAIL to EDPL office (NOT on this post). If there's any more than 4 additional pairs, we'll start a waiting list, for any pairs that may withdraw before Sunday) 🙂

WE ARE HEADING TO VICTORIA!

The Australian Eight Ball Federation is thrilled to announce that the dates and venue for the 2027 Junior Nationals are officially locked in! For the first time in a decade, the Junior Nationals are returning to the very state where it all began... VICTORIA!

*A Trip Down Memory Lane*
Way back in 1991, Ben Bolton (U12), Johl Younger (U15), and Chris Lilly (U18) became our inaugural junior national champions.
Since that historic year, this tournament has been the launching pad for some of Australia's greatest cue sports athletes, including World Snooker Champion Neil Robertson, who claimed the Australian Under 12s title back in 1994!
