• Truck 504 - Ford F-150 We have been competing in this truck since 2010.

We have 3 trucks, Truck 405, Truck 416, Truck 504.

405 is a Desert Dynamics trophy truck, driven by Paul. Paul has been competing in off-road races since 1988, in a few different trucks and cars.

416 is a Oz-Truck Raptor, shed built by the driver, Mark-Paul, we been competing in this Truck since 2022. Mark-Paul starting out as a Navigator for his dad, Paul, since 2005 before being a driver since 2007 in 1 other previous car.

504 is a Ford F-150, being modified to a race truck in shed by both Paul and Mark-Paul, Father and Son. The build of the F-150 to an off-road race truck began in 2022. Hoping to make its way to the race track in 2023.

504: Don River Dash 2026 .. Unfortunately it did not go the way we would had liked. We went out for recon to look at the track, got bogged not to far down the river, got pulled out and continued on. Got down to about 23kms the turn around point of the track to come back up the river and the car didn’t want to play anymore with the oil pump seizing up. Our time has come to an end early unfortunately. Thanks to all involved to make the event happen, Mick Marson for helping out with the pump and our pit crews.

First time coming to this event, we are keen to race. Here early to make the most out of the trip. Excited for the race ahead. 😁🏁👍

Race report for the 40th Milbrodale Mountain Classic.
Prologued 27th out of 50 cars.
Race 1 was 6 laps of medium course drove it a bit hard on the 1st 2 laps then got into a good rhythm on the 5th lap a side by side decided to have a little roll in front of us so we stopped to make sure they were ok, after they gave us thumbs up we continued on. Finished that race with no issues.
Race 2 was 4laps of short course, Started with a pro buggy and a class 6 which both beat me off the line. I stayed right up behind the class 6 until his rear wheel left the car, Then it gave me chance to catch up to the pro buggy. Got right behind him, ended up finishing only 0.3 secs behind him after the 4 laps.
Looking at the truck after the race and we had a 300mm long split in the fuel tank.
We didn’t go out for recon of long course so we could get the back of the car pulled apart to get the tank out.
Got the tank out and washed out 3 times thanks to fire brigade for letting us use their water.
Big thanks to Tom Dixon and his crew for welding the crack up because we would have been screwed without them.
Got the tank back in and the rear of the truck back together.
Sunday race 3 was 4 laps of medium course and it was very slippery. Was going good until the 3rd lap when we lost 3rd gear. Finished the race without any other issues.
When trying to reverse out of our pit spot found out we lost reverse as well.
4th race was 4 laps of short course, it was 3 at a time start, had fun chasing down the cars we lost the start to. Buggy in front ended braking a front arm. Then kept right up to class 6 until he let us pass on the 2nd lap.
Last race was 6 laps of long course 20kms a lap.
Lost the start again but kept up to the buggy until he let us pass. We kept the truck in 2nd gear for the whole race just in case we couldn’t get back to 2nd. Hit a caution a bit hard and broke the strap that holds the jack in. Took it a bit easy because we didn’t want to make a mistake in the mountain because we didn’t have reverse. Saw a jack in the middle of the track and was thinking it looked like ours which I worked out was after the 2nd time we drove past it.
Tried to push a bit in the mountain to catch the car in front but kept the same gap for the whole race. It would have been interesting if we had all the gears to see if we could’ve caught him but such is life.
Ended up doing a time of 18:38 as our fastest lap in long course which was good when we have been struggling the last 2 years to get under 20minutes.
Finished 2nd in class and 11th outright.
