Merhaba welcome to Albion Rovers FC. Albion Rovers FC is a leading football club based in the western suburbs of Melbourne.

Founded in 1969, the Club has won League Championships 2 times, Women's Championship 4 times, various cups and is home to over 300 aspiring junior footballers. Albion Rovers FC has enjoyed success playing at the highest levels including finals campaigns in the Victorian Premier League and famously our women winning 3 consecutive league titles to eventually gain promotion to the Womens Premier League including going one season undefeated. Cairnlea Park is the home of Albion Rovers FC and attracts over 1000 passionate supporters, parents, players. We are an active and progressive club with a proud history of over 50 years on and off the field. We are committed to the further development of the game through a successful and growing junior development program that has proven success. Albion Rovers FC is a club that caters for anyone and everyone who wants to play football from six year olds through to over 35s, for women and men, girls and boys. What we offer
- State League 2 football for Men

- Competitive matches for Under 12s to Under 18s
- Fun Small Sided Football for our youngest members from 5 years old through to 11 year olds.
- Senior Men and Women Teams including over 35s

Yesterday, we came together once again as the Albion family to celebrate a successful year, recognise our achievements and enjoy a day surrounded by the people who make this club so special.

A huge thank you to our committee, players, parents and guardians, Brimbank Council and Football Victoria for their ongoing support and for helping make it all possible.

It takes a whole community to build a club, and we’re proud of what we continue to achieve together.

COACH SPOTLIGHT | DANIEL HO

Daniel was previously part of Albion Rovers back in 2015, where he was a reliable midfielder who brought composure, work rate and consistency to the pitch.

A local to the community, Daniel now brings his football experience together with his studies in Sports Science and Education, giving him a strong foundation to help develop young players both physically and technically.

It’s great to see a former Albion player return to the club and give back to the next generation.

COACH SPOTLIGHT | TANER MUNUR

TT’s connection with Albion Rovers runs deep. Having been at the club since his junior days, Albion has always been a huge part of his life. His family has also been proud Albion supporters for many years.

After years as a player, TT has now transitioned into coaching. He continues to give back and help develop the next generation of Albion players.

His coaching role brings a wealth of knowledge experience and leadership. Of course, he also brings a little bit of silverware.

COACH SPOTLIGHT | AHMEDIN “MEDO” SULJIC

Entering his second year with us, Medo’s football journey is one to be proud of. From representing Albion Rovers as a junior to competing at the highest levels of Victorian football, he brings a wealth of experience back to the club.

Medo represented Victoria, made his Albion Senior debut at just 16, earned promotion to the Premier League with Hume City and was selected among the Top 10 Victorian players for a trial with Brisbane Roar.

His journey also saw him feature for Bentleigh Greens in the Premier League before eventually returning back to Albion Rovers Seniors.

With years of experience across different levels of the game, Medo is now focused on passing on his knowledge, developing young talent and helping shape the next generation of Albion players.

COACH SPOTLIGHT | ERDEM HILMI

Entering his second year with the club, Erdem continues to play an important role in developing the next generation of Albion players.

Erdem brings strong football knowledge, leadership and a passion for player development, creating an environment where young players can learn, grow and enjoy their football.

With another year of experience under his belt, Erdem is ready to build on the foundations from last season and continue developing his U8s both on and off the pitch.

COACH SPOTLIGHT | TAYLAN SABRI GUVENBAS

With 13 years as a player at the club and three years of experience as an Assistant Coach, Taylan’s journey with Albion Rovers has been one of commitment, loyalty and passion.

Having progressed through the junior ranks to become a Senior player, Taylan understands what it takes to develop within the club and reach the next level. Now stepping into the role of Head Coach, he brings valuable experience, knowledge and a strong connection to the Albion family.

Taylan will look to use his experience both on and off the pitch to guide, develop and inspire the next generation of female footballers, helping build a strong pathway for our girls.

COACH SPOTLIGHT | CARL “KP” SCERRI

Albion Rovers FC is proud to announce Carl Scerri as Head Coach of our U10 Girls and U16 Boys teams for the 2027 season.

At just 23 years old, Carl is entering his 7th year at the club, holding a AFC B Licence, Reserves coaching experience and a strong passion for youth development. A dedicated and thriving young coach with plenty of potential, Carl continues to grow, learn and develop both himself and the players around him.

With a strong focus on technical, tactical and personal development, Carl is committed to building confidence, improving football intelligence and creating a positive environment where players can thrive and progress towards senior football.

Albion Rovers FC is on the lookout for a Senior Women’s Coach to lead our program into the next chapter.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about women’s football and shares our ambition to build a competitive State League team while helping grow our female football pathway from juniors to seniors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• A passion for developing players, building strong culture and creating a positive team environment.

• The ability to attract players and help build a competitive squad from the ground up.

• A commitment to growing our club-wide female program and developing pathways from junior to senior football.

• ⁠Someone who can work collaboratively with our Technical Director, junior coaches and wider football department.

• ⁠The ambition to help develop our female-only tournament.

We’re also open to assistant coaches and aspiring coaches ready to take the next step. We’re a supportive community club that values the right attitude, ambition and willingness to grow.

This is a long term project, and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of building something special, not just coaching a team.
