Well that went by fast!

Yesterday marked 165 days back on land, the same amount of time we spent rowing across the Pacific.

Recently after our talks, we’ve been asked loads about what we’ve learnt from the crossing.

To be honest, we’re still not sure we’ve processed it all fully yet, but here are a few of our musings so far.

Feel free to drop any questions in the comments below 👇🏼

We’ve had so many questions about how Velocity made her way back home… so hopefully this answers some of them!

Happy Galentine’s Day 🌊🩵💪

Here’s to female friendships full of laughs, grit and tackling life’s challenges with a smile. To the women who lift each other up, push boundaries and show up when it counts 👊✨

Tag the women you know who are out there doing bold and interesting things. Let’s give them a shout-out and follow along. 🌍✨

Of course it’s raining… we’re back in the UK.

Velocity made it home and it’s so good to see her.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Trade Freight International Limited for shipping her back the way back from down under.

We’ll certainly be using them again next time as they handled absolutely everything. Totally seamless!

Was certainly a faster trip for Velocity this time round!

Big up Charlie Lunt too from Key2Transport for always being there to ferry Velocity around. We’re so so grateful.

A lot of people have been asking what we’ve been up to lately. Well, we’ve been up and down the country, racking up a couple of thousand miles in travel and sharing the stories of the crossing and our journey.

From corporates to schools, it’s been a joy to speak to so many brilliant people. We’ve loved meeting you all and even crossing paths with a couple of future rowers along the way!

We’ve been especially overwhelmed by the number of alumni and former instructors who’ve come along to hear us speak. It’s been wonderful hearing more about the impact the fundraising from the trip will have and how it will make a real difference to young lives.

8,000 miles across the Pacific, countless waves, and a whole lot of time to think. 🌊

We’ve had so many of you asking about our journey, so we teamed up with Dock & Bay to answer some of your questions whilst we were travelling.

Here’s a little insight into our life at sea.

Looking back at this, we’re certainly missing all the warm weather now we’re back to the UK winter 🥶

WHAT. A. YEAR.

The year we became world record holders 🌍 and somehow spent more time on an ocean rowing boat than on land.

It’s impossible to sum it all up or choose photos that truly capture everything this year held. It was brutal at times, full of obstacles, exhaustion and moments that pushed us out of our comfort zones — but it was so worth it.

We’ve learned more than we ever expected, grown a lot and been surrounded by some truly incredible people (we’d be here all day if we named you all).

To everyone who played a part in this journey — big or small — thank you. Your support, encouragement and belief made this possible. And to everyone who followed along for the ride, we’re so grateful 💙

So… what’s next?
No huge challenges just yet. Adventures of this scale demand a lot of sacrifice and tend to take over your life. So for now we’re enjoying being on land — slowing down, catching up with friends and family and embracing a little balance.

Plenty of small adventures ahead… and maybe a marathon or two 👀🏃‍♂️🌊
