Invictus Dragon Boat Club had the privilege of supporting the Terry Campese Foundation Youth Mentor Program, an initiative dedicated to empowering young people through mentorship, leadership, resilience, and connection.

As a club built on teamwork, belonging, and community, it was an honour to share our sport and spend time with a group of inspiring young people. Dragon boating is about so much more than paddling; it's about trust, communication, supporting each other, and discovering what can be achieved when people work together towards a common goal.

We hope that every young person who stepped into our boats today left with a sense of achievement, confidence, and connection. Just as importantly, we hope they felt the warmth of a community that believes in them and wants to see them succeed.

A huge thank you to the Terry Campese Foundation for the incredible work they do in creating opportunities for young people to grow, learn, and thrive. We are proud to have played a small part in their journey.

Not everyone wants to paddle… but every crew needs a heartbeat 🐉🥁

Ever thought about being a dragon boat drummer?

The drummer sets the rhythm, drives the crew, and brings the energy that lifts a team when it matters most. It’s not just about hitting a drum—it’s about timing, awareness, and connection with 20 paddlers moving as one.

What makes a great drummer?
✔ Strong sense of rhythm (you don’t need to be a musician!)
✔ Confidence to lead and call the crew
✔ Awareness of the water, the race, and the moment
✔ Energy, presence, and the ability to lift a team

If you’ve got presence, passion, and want to be at the centre of the action—this is your seat.

Come and try it out. No experience needed. Just bring your voice, your energy, and a willingness to give it a go.

Jump in the boat. Feel the beat. Lead the crew.

DM us or come down to a session to get started.

Invictus made the road trip to beautiful Nowra for the Southern Region Sports and Community Dragon Boat Regatta

A huge thank you to the Nowra Police and Marine Rescue teams 🚤💙

From engaging with participants and supporting crews, to ensuring everyone stayed safe on and off the water, your presence, professionalism, and community spirit did not go unnoticed.

Events like these simply don’t happen without the people working behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly and safely. We’re incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and care you brought across the weekend.
