✨ HOLIDAY DANCE WORKSHOPS ✨

We’re excited to be running our September/October School Holiday Dance Workshops with Miss Brooke! 💜

These workshops will cover Jazz, Lyrical & Hip Hop, focusing on technique, skills and choreography, perfect for dancers wanting to keep moving, learning and having fun these holidays! 🕺🏼✨

JUNIOR AGE GROUP | 7–12 YEARS
📅 Tuesday 22nd & Tuesday 29th September
⏰ 9:30am–12:30pm
✨ 1 hour per style

SENIOR AGE GROUP
📅 Thursday 24th September & Thursday 1st October

Our athletes are getting ready to hit the warm up floor once again next week at the 2026 AASCF State Championships! ⚡️💜

Since our last competition, our dancers have been working incredibly hard cleaning, adjusting and perfecting every detail of their routines, and we couldn’t be prouder of the dedication they’ve shown. 🥹✨

We can’t wait for you all to see our athletes take the stage next weekend! Come and support our Edgies Friday–Sunday, 18th–20th September! 🫶🏼

💜 THE DANCE DAD 💜

Up at 5am on a weekend,
It’s that time of year again…..
Another dance competition, or weekend rehearsal, photo day or Concert weekend.

He’s packed the car with costumes,
Shoes, bags and hairspray too,
And wonders why one tiny dancer
Needs 5 bags to get through!

He’s parked so far away,
Paid $20 just to enter, $100 for food
then sat in a freezing venue watching way to many random routine’s until it’s nearly dark!

He knows a plié and tendu,
A jeté and a fouetté,
But still calls everything
“That spinny jump thing!”

He’s survived the hairspray cloud,
The sparkles and the tears,
who has filmed every single dance, taken many photos with way too many poses!

He’s carried dance bags,
And heard “Dad, I NEED this….. please?
More times than he can choose.

So here’s to all our Dance Dads —
The chauffeurs, snack suppliers and forever bank man….. tap tap tap!

For all the drop offs and pick up to The Edge studios, paying all the fees and watching me practice at home in front of the TV.

Thank you for every early morning or late night, for every competition, rehearsal and performance.

Lyrical Improvisation 🧑‍🩰

Exploring new movements, pathways and ways of moving through the space, while learning to let go and trust where our bodies take us.

Improvisation gives our dancers the chance to move without overthinking, connect with the music and discover movement that feels natural to them. No set choreography, no right or wrong, just listening to the music and letting the movement flow 💜
