With the 2026 season now wrapped, Surfers Paradise Apollo FC is turning toward 2027 and expanding our senior women’s program across QPL3 Women, Community Women Division 1, and Community Women Division 2.
We’re calling for expressions of interest from players 16 years and over who want to be part of a unique, ambitious women’s pathway on the Gold Coast — one where club culture is a major focus. We want players who will buy into the standards, the environment, and the way we do things together.
Our coaches and managers are passionate about pushing women’s football as high as it can go, and building a program that matches that ambition.
Whether you’re aiming for QPL3 or looking for strong community football in Div 1 or Div 2, there is a place to grow here.

Surfers Paradise Apollo FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Jimmy Gotis as Head Coach of our QPL3 Men’s team for the 2027 season.

Jimmy is highly respected across South East Queensland’s football landscape, with an accomplished career spanning technical development, high performance, football operations and senior team leadership.

His experience includes:

• 2005–2012: FFNC Technical Developer & High Performance Coach

• 2013–2017: NPL Technical Director, Palm Beach

• 2017–2020: NPL Technical Director, Olympic FC

• 2020–2024: NPL Technical Director & Football Director, Gold Coast Knights FC

Across each of these roles, Jimmy has helped create and develop some of Queensland’s most successful senior football environments. He has built winning cultures, driven sustainable success and made a lasting impact on every program he has been part of.

Jimmy’s extensive knowledge of senior team structures and performance models will help establish new standards for our men’s program.

With leadership, experience and a relentless drive to succeed, Jimmy brings the vision and ambition required to take Apollo FC to the next level. His appointment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the club—and the journey starts now.
