There can be only one person named as the first to finish first, and who else but our man Dicko! Massive debut season back home for the Devils and duly rewarded as their inaugural VFL best and fairest following some fantastic performances in front of the big sticks.

Hugh Dixon has capped off an outstanding return to Tasmania by winning the Devils’ inaugural Best & Fairest award.

Today we celebrated another big season with a Grand Final Luncheon attended by supporters, sponsors and guests.

Held with the support of Kingston Panel & Paint and Kingston 4WD & Tyres, the luncheon provided an opportunity for the club community to come together ahead of the 2026 AFL Grand Final.

Guests were welcomed by Ben Harrison, before an impressive panel of Tasmania Devils representatives provided plenty of insight into football at the highest level.

The guest speakers included Tasmania Devils VFL captain Robbie Fox, who shared his experiences as captain and his journey in football, as well as a player panel featuring three of the Tigers' own — Hugh Dixon, Zach Adams and Perri King, who are all involved with the Tasmania Devils VFL/VFLW programs.

The afternoon also included a raffle, live auctions and plenty of opportunities for guests to catch up and celebrate the club's season. Thanks to our sponsor Harvey Norman Kingston Clearance Centre.

Season 2027 Coaching Vacancies

The Kingborough Tigers Football Club invites expressions of interest from motivated and suitably qualified coaches for senior coaching opportunities. The Club is seeking individuals who are passionate about community football and can lead, develop and inspire players in an inclusive, professional and team-focused environment.

The Club is committed to building a strong and sustainable football program that supports player development, club culture and long-term on-field success. Successful coaching candidates will work collaboratively with the Club’s football department, coaching staff, board, volunteers and playing group to create a positive, disciplined and enjoyable environment for all participants.

Desirable attributes include:
- Previous coaching experience, with demonstrated success in the past 3 years
- Sound understanding of player development, match-day strategy and training design
- Strong communication, leadership and relationship-building skills

Previous playing experience is valued but is not essential. The Club welcomes applications from both experienced coaches and emerging coaches who can demonstrate the right attitude, capability and commitment.

Interested candidates are invited to submit a brief response outlining which role you are applying for, and:
- Relevant coaching experience and accreditation, playing and leadership experience
- Your coaching philosophy and approach to developing talent

Successful applicants are expected to maintain appropriate standards of conduct, welfare, safety and child safeguarding where applicable, so a current Working with Vulnerable People registration is essential. The Kingborough Tigers Football Club are a signatory to the Women & Girls Community Football Charter and continue to work to foster an inclusive, respectful and accountable team and club culture.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who purchased tickets in the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle!

We’re thrilled to announce that $3,765 was raised, with 100% of the funds coming back to the Kingborough Tigers Football Club.

A special congratulations to Ava from our U18s, who sold the most tickets! Fantastic effort, Ava!

Now all that’s left to do is wait for the draw on 24 September.

Fingers crossed one of our amazing supporters is the lucky winner and drives away with a brand-new car!
