Can a bush mechanic fix a folded prop with a hammer?

There’s really only one way to find out… 😂

When you’re hundreds of kilometres down the Murray, sometimes the workshop is the riverbank, the toolbox is whatever you remembered to pack, and the solution involves a hammer and a bit of confidence.

Welcome to Tinny Rally — where getting there is only half the adventure.

Think you’re ready for it?

Turns out organised chaos is the answer to everything we never knew we needed.

No emails. No meetings. No worrying about what day it is.

Maybe chaos isn’t the problem after all…

Maybe we just needed better chaos.

👇 Comment 2027 if you could use a bit of this in your life.

You come for the adventure… but the scenery? That catches you completely off guard.

Sometimes you’ve just got to slow the tinny down and take it all in.

Fuel consumption: terrible.
Decision making: questionable.
Getting the tinny almost on the plane: close enough to count
Having the time of your life for 726km down the Murray: PRICELESS.

Some things are worth every litre. 😂

👇 Comment 2027 if you’re ready to make some questionable decisions of your own.

Imagine turning up to the Tinny Rally with a boat or motor from the 1970s…
Then looking at 726km of Murray River across 3 states and thinking:

“Yep. She’ll make it.”

That takes a special kind of confidence.

Would you be game enough to give it a crack?

👇 Comment 2027 if you reckon your old tinny has still got an adventure left in her.

It’s not a race… it’s organised chaos.

The only question is…

Who are you bringing with you?

One bloke. One tinny. Solo on the Murray. No support crew. No mate beside him saying, “Yeah… maybe don’t do that.”

And apparently, that was part of the excitement.

Every decision was his.
Every problem was his to solve.
And every questionable idea had absolutely nobody there to talk him out of it.

But that was the adventure.

Not knowing what was around the next bend. Figuring things out as he went. Getting himself into situations — and then having to work out how the hell to get himself back out of them.

And somewhere amongst all those solo decisions, the idea for Tinny Rally was born.

It was the middle of winter. Dan was cruising along… and then hit a sandbank at 40km/h.

One minute: living the dream.
Next minute: waist-deep in freezing Murray water digging your boat out.

Still living the dream though…

There’s a reason we don’t show you everything about Tinny Rally.

Because part of what made Dan’s original trip so bloody special was not knowing what was coming around the next bend.

And we want you to have that exact same experience.

Some things are better experienced for the first time when you’re actually out there.

There’s something about the rhythm of the river.

The tinny humming along. The Murray stretching out in front of you. No traffic. No emails. No rushing to the next thing.

Just you and the river.

It’s something Dan discovered on that very first solo trip.

There were problems, questionable decisions and plenty he hadn’t planned for… but there were also those moments when everything went quiet and he realised just how bloody special it was to experience the Murray this way.

It’s a mental reset without even trying to be one.

And every now and then, you catch yourself looking around and thinking…

How good is life right now?
