It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the recent passing of Bruce Challenor - a highly respected and deeply valued member of Caboolture softball Association, and wider softball community.
Bruce dedicated an extraordinary amount of his life to Caboolture Sports Softball Association, including an incredible 20+ years of commitment, leadership and passion for softball.
Bruce was someone who gave his time, knowledge and experience generously. He was always willing to offer guidance, share his expertise and help wherever it was needed, often working quietly behind the scenes to ensure the association continued to grow and succeed.
Over the years, our committee had the privilege of learning so much from Bruce across many different areas of the association. His knowledge, practical advice and years of experience were invaluable. The lessons he shared with us will continue to guide our decisions and remain an important part of how we support and develop our own softball community.
Bruce’s contribution cannot be measured simply by the number of years he volunteered, but by the countless people he helped, the knowledge he passed on and the lasting impact he made throughout the softball community.
On behalf of everyone at Suncoast Hinterland Softball Association, we extend our deepest condolences to Chris, Bruce’s family, friends and everyone at Caboolture Sports Softball Association.
Bruce will be remembered with enormous respect and gratitude. His dedication, generosity and contribution to softball have left a legacy that will not be forgotten.

CSSA is deeply saddened by the passing of Bruce Challenor on Monday evening.
Bruce served as CSSA President for 24 years, making an enduring contribution to the association and to the softball community. However, he was so much more than his role as President. Bruce was a valued and respected member of the softball community, and his dedication, friendship and contribution to the sport will be greatly missed.
We extend our deepest condolences to Chris, Bruce’s family, friends and all his loved ones during this difficult time.
Bruce’s legacy and contribution to softball will be remembered and valued for many years to come.
