Your old surfboard could pay for your next one 🏄 Drop it in to Welcome Board Store, set a fair price, and we'll clean it, list it online and market it for you. When it sells, you get 100% of the sale price as store credit ($300 board = $300 credit) to spend on anything in store, valid for 3 years.

Getting towed this summer? Here's the short version 👇

🔹 Being towed (wakeboard, wakesurf, skis, tube) = vest on, on every waterway in Victoria. Bay, lakes and rivers.
🔹 Level 50S is the go-to for wake and ski on inland waters. It keeps you afloat, sits close and moves with you when you crash.
🔹 Out on enclosed waters like Port Phillip Bay, powerboats up to 4.8m and kids under 12 need a Level 100.
🔹 Kids under 12 wear a lifejacket in open areas of the boat whenever it's underway. Size them by weight, not age.
🔹 Fit test: grab the shoulders and pull up. If it rides past your chin, it's too big.

Don't let your board cook over summer ☀️🏂

Six months in a hot garage dries a base out. It goes chalky and slow, and takes heaps of wax to bring back. The fix is a thick storage wax coat, left unscraped, so the base stays sealed and the edges stay rust-free till next winter.

Japan pow is a different beast. Deep, dry and cold, and a board that's been sitting in the garage since last season just won't run in it.

Before you fly, bring your snowboard or skis in for our $100 Japan Tune. We stone grind the base on our Wintersteiger, then cut in a structure made for cold, dry powder, so you float and glide instead of sticking. About a 3-day turnaround.

Easy rule: book your tune when you book your flights.
