Come see Nowra's newest dance studio Be YOU Ballroom & try our kids classes for free in our BYB OPEN DAY Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th January!

Learn from Australia's National & Double New Zealand Dancesport (Ballroom Dancing) Champions in the heart of Nowra on the NSW South Coast. Enrollments for kids classes of all ages are now open with classes starting from the 5th February for 2024. This is a great opportunity to try something new & see how Ballroom Dancing can positively
encourage confidence, respect & communication skills in children of all ages.

Open Day Timetable-

Baby Ballroom (5&6yrs): Tues 23rd Jan, 4.30pm - 5.15pm
Juvenile (7&8yrs): Tues 23rd Jan, 5.15pm - 5.45pm
Junior (9-12yrs): Thurs 25th Jan, 4.30pm - 5pm
Youth (13yrs+): Wed 24th Jan, 4.14pm - 4.45pm

This past 18 months have been a rollercoaster!
It definitely would not have been possible without our family & mentors who supported us as we took a leap of faith to move & start Be YOU Ballroom. Our goal was never to stick to the conventional studio frameworks, but challenge the experiences we had across the years in many studios growing up. We have taken what we valued & left behind what we felt was holding our industry in the past or negatively impacting the people within it. There is still a lot to perfect, a lot to learn & plenty of opportunities ahead for our studio & it’s wonderful growing community. It is definitely not an easy task to be competing full time at the peak of Australian Dancesport while establishing BYB, however it has become our passion & home… a place we can return to in times of adversity or celebration knowing that we have our beautiful community of support. While our competitive career is truly only just beginning, so is Be YOU Ballroom. Unfortunately, if you are after a traditional dance studio or club… we are not the place for you. However, if you are looking to be part of something greater, a place that has a passion for learning, a passion for people & a passion for the future of our sport then come along for the ride. Whatever it is - fitness, self confidence, friendships, a stress outlet, community, achievement - we hope that you can find it within BYB. Be YOU & let dancesport offer you endless possibilities.

It has been an honor to be named finalists in the Shoalhaven Business Awards! Many don’t see dance studios as businesses, but rather a hobby. We take what we do seriously & while many businesses can sell a product, we believe it takes so much more to offer a service that people return to week after week. We also believe it takes so much more to create a community! This past year, we believe we have done just that & in doing so have hit many milestones that we should all be proud of.

We are looking to add an additional class to our Thursday program for as a special performance opportunity in the community the weekend prior to Halloween & Christmas. We would love to have all children in our kid’s classes participate! We will be reaching to parents soon. If your child would like to be part of this special opportunity - please reach out to us! Discounts will apply for children who participate in both the medal & competition classes.

KIDS COMP CLASS

Why is this class different to our general Medal Class? We recognize that competing is not for every child, however for children who thrive on pursuing goals, the skills learnt in this class are invaluable. Not only do we cover mechanical movement in greater detail but we guide children on the mental approach to performing & how to practice & train their skill sets. Each child owns different strengths & we celebrate them in this class by encouraging kids to push themselves & improve their skills. Is your child interested in joining? Reach out!
