We spend so much time training for aesthetics that we forget what really matters. ⬇️

Train to be strong.
Train to move well.
Train to stay independent.
Train to build a body that carries you through every stage of life.

Muscle isn’t just about how you look it’s one of the greatest investments you can make in your future health. Every workout is a deposit into your longevity.

Your goal shouldn’t be to simply survive as you get older. It should be to thrive.

The strongest version of you isn’t built overnight, but every session gets you one step closer.

Start today. Your future self will thank you.

✨ Menopause isn’t your body giving up it’s your body changing.

As oestrogen and progesterone levels begin to decline, it’s normal to notice changes in how you feel, move, and recover.

You may experience:
• Hot flushes and night sweats
• Poor sleep and increased fatigue
• Mood changes and brain fog
• Loss of muscle and strength
• Weight gain, particularly around the middle
• Reduced bone density
• Changes in energy, libido, and recovery

These changes can feel frustrating, but they’re not a sign that you’ve failed or that your body is working against you.

The good news? Strength training, quality nutrition, managing stress, prioritising sleep, and looking after your overall health can make a huge difference in how you feel during this stage of life.

Menopause isn’t the end of feeling strong it’s the beginning of learning how to support your body differently. 💪✨

This winter has hit different. The seasonal depression is real this year- the low mood, the disappointments, the stressors, the loneliness , the demands, the cold, the short days. Add perimenopause into the mix and some days it feels like my whole nervous system is under siege.

But here’s the thing- I remember how many people are depending on me to keep showing up. So I show up anyway.

Here’s what’s actually getting me through :
🙌🏾Every morning I remind myself what a privilege it is to be able to train the way I do. I can do hard things. I am strong.
🥵I’ve upped my cardio and I get outside as much as I possibly can- light exposure matters so much for vitamin D and circadian rhythm, it’s not just a “nice to have”
💪🏽I’ve set small goals to keep myself accountable- right now it’s dropping some body fat for a photoshoot. Something to anchor to
🌱I remind myself winter is a season, not a life sentence. Spring will come.
🏋️‍♂️Weight training 4 x per week. Non-negotiable
🌊 Nature time. Every day if I can
🍲Nourishing, warming food- chicken broth soup, stewed fruits with yoghurt, high protein meals that actually support my body through this
📕 I stay informed- understanding what’s actually happening in my body hormonal and seasonally so I can work with it, not against it.
🙏🏼Gratitude practise
🫶🏽Connecting with friends and talking about it, out loud, instead of white knuckling it alone.
✨Getting creative- creating is soul medicine for me

This isn’t about pretending it’s easy- ITS NOT.
It’s about doing the things anyway, especially when that part is loud. That’s what strength can look like too.

Strong isn’t a look- it’s a way of life 🖤
