NEJL FINALS ARE HERE!

This weekend, Port Macquarie becomes the home of junior representative basketball as the 2026 North Eastern Junior League (NEJL) Finals come to the Port Macquarie Indoor Stadium.

We're incredibly proud to have six Junior Dolphins teams competing for NEJL championships on our home courts, and we need the entire Dolphins community behind them.

SATURDAY - DOLPHINS FIXTURES

8:00am – U12 Boys vs Tamworth

9:30am

U14 Boys vs Coffs Harbour
U14 Girls vs Tamworth

11:00am – U16 Girls vs Coffs Harbour

12:45pm – U16 Boys vs Tweed Valley

2:30pm – U18 Girls vs Tamworth

From there, winning teams will progress through the finals series, with further games scheduled throughout the weekend as they chase an NEJL Championship.

THE ACTION DOESN'T STOP THERE!

To cap off a massive day of basketball, our Waratah teams also take centre stage.

5:00pm – Dolphins Youth Men vs Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
A must-win finals qualifier with our Youth Men looking to keep their season alive.

7:00pm – Dolphins Men vs St George Saints
Our Men return home looking to finish the regular season strongly in front of the Dolphins faithful.

From 8:00am through until 9:00pm, the Port Macquarie Indoor Stadium will be the place to be. Whether you're supporting our junior representative teams or cheering on our senior Dolphins, there will be quality basketball all day long.

Registrations are still open for our Ford Aussie Hoops Term 3 Program and it's not too late to join!

If your child is looking to learn basketball in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment, Aussie Hoops is the perfect place to start. Designed for boys and girls new to the game, the program focuses on developing fundamental skills, building confidence and, most importantly, having fun.

Another Fantastic PMBA Holiday Camp Series!

What a great way to spend the school holidays!

Over the past two Wednesdays, it has been fantastic to see so many young basketballers in the stadium developing their skills, making new friends and, most importantly, having fun.

With players ranging from beginners through to representative athletes, our coaching team worked hard to ensure every participant was challenged and enjoyed a positive day on court.

A huge thank you to all of our players, parents, coaches, senior Dolphins players who helped make this holiday camp series such a success. Your support continues to make these programs a highlight of the school holidays.

We look forward to seeing everyone back on court soon, and keep an eye on our socials as we announce our next round of development programs and holiday camps.

BIG ROUND AHEAD FOR THE DOLPHINS

Another massive weekend of Waratah League basketball awaits as all three Dolphins teams are in action.

Our Youth Men hit the road for an important double-header, taking on Moss Vale on Saturday before travelling to face Parramatta on Sunday. Two tough challenges as they continue their push towards the end of the season.

Back home at the Port Macquarie Indoor Stadium, our senior teams have two huge games on Saturday afternoon.

Our Women take on Blacktown in a crucial matchup before our Men clash with the Central Coast Crusaders in what promises to be one of the biggest games of the season.

With finals just around the corner, every win is critical and we need our home crowd behind us.

6:00pm – Dolphins Men vs Central Coast Crusaders

SEASIDE CLASSIC RETURNS THIS NOVEMBER!

The Port Macquarie Basketball Association is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 Seaside Classic.

Join us in beautiful Port Macquarie for a fantastic weekend of representative basketball while enjoying everything the Mid North Coast has to offer – Surf, Sun, Sand and Basketball!

The Seaside Classic is one of the region's premier odd-age representative tournaments, attracting quality teams from across NSW in a fun, competitive and well-run event.

Tournament Details

Dates: Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 November 2026
Location: Port Macquarie Indoor Stadium
Age Groups: Odd-age representative teams
Team Nomination: $540 per team
Guaranteed: Minimum of three games

Important Information

Limited places available in each division.
A maximum of two teams per age group from each association may be accepted (subject to nominations).
Divisions may close before the nomination deadline once full, so early entries are encouraged.

Referees
Each team is requested to provide a referee. Referees will be paid $25 per game. Teams unable to supply a referee will incur an additional $100 referee levy.

LITTLE DRIBBLERS IS BACK FOR TERM 3!

Looking for the perfect way to introduce your little one to basketball?

Our Little Dribblers program is back for Term 3, providing a fun, active and engaging introduction to basketball for children aged 3–5 years. Through games, movement and basketball-based activities, children will develop coordination, confidence and fundamental motor skills in a safe, supportive and fun environment.

Whether they're picking up a basketball for the first time or simply love to run, jump and play, Little Dribblers is the perfect Saturday morning activity.

🏆 NJL CHAMPIONS! 🏆

A huge congratulations to our Port Macquarie U12 Girls, who have been crowned 2026 NJL Champions after an outstanding 38-34 Grand Final victory over the previously undefeated, first-placed Yamba Trawlers in Coffs Harbour this morning! 💙💛

It was a thrilling contest from start to finish, with the scores locked at 10-10 after the first quarter. Our girls trailed at both half-time and three-quarter time, but showed incredible resilience, determination and teamwork to storm home in the final quarter and claim the championship.

The closing moments were unforgettable, with Maeve Hunt knocking down a clutch two-pointer, while Milla Fowler and Felicity Baker calmly converted crucial free throws to seal the win.

🏀 Top scorers:

⭐ Maeve Hunt – 13 points
⭐ Felicity Baker – 11 points
⭐ Milla Fowler – 8 points

While those players led the scoring, this was a true team performance, with every player contributing through relentless defence, hustle and support for one another.
