Today we celebrate the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures who are always there — cheering from the sidelines, driving to training and games, helping behind the scenes, and supporting our players every step of the way.

Thank you for everything you do for our IONA families and our club.

U13G Roar and U14 Wanderers booked their spot in Grand Finals next Saturday after wins this morning.
Both teams demonstrated great sportsmanship and working collaboratively to secure their spots for next week.

We are super proud of their effort this season with an incredible run to the finals!

After finishing 7th at the end of the regular season, the boys fought their way through the Elimination Semi Final and Semi Final to earn their place in today’s Qualifying Final against top-of-the-table Port Saints Leopards.

It was a tough game in the heat, with plenty of subs needed throughout. A free kick awarded in the dying seconds of the first half saw Port Saints take a 1–0 lead into the break.

Victory’s defence was outstanding, and the boys continued to battle right until the final whistle, but unfortunately couldn’t find the goal they needed, going down 1–0.

From 7th place to a fantastic finals run — what an effort! ⚽️

A huge congratulations to our U15 Girls and U18s, who both gave it everything last night but narrowly missed out on a place in the Grand Final.

The girls battled hard in a tough contest against Lake Cathie, fighting right through to the final whistle.
Final score: 1–0

⚽️ U18s
Our U18s produced a huge effort against PSTS Rhinos in a hard-fought match, with the result decided by a goal in the final minutes.
Final score: 1–0

While it wasn’t the ending either team was hoping for, there is so much to be proud of. The determination, teamwork, sportsmanship and heart shown throughout their finals campaigns has been outstanding.

You represented Iona with pride, backed each other until the very end and left everything out on the field.
