Hastings Little Wishes Family Fun Day is a local charity that provides “little wishes” to children in the Port Macquarie Hastings region. The idea is that children living with disability and/or medical conditions have an opportunity to have a little wish granted. It allows children and their families to participate in activities that they may not have been able to afford in daily life, whether it be at financial, emotional or physical cost. Being gifted a wish can make a huge difference in a child’s life. The benefit to families is priceless.

Wishes may be visiting Sydney or the Gold Coast for a holiday, event or activity. Perhaps it would be as simple as visiting the Billabong Zoo or a SeaPlane ride. Whatever it is that brings a child joy and promotes an increase in quality-of-life for the whole family. There are so many things well- and able-bodied people take for granted. A weekend away, staying in appropriate accommodation, with disabled amenities, transport and a safe-access venue are everyday considerations for these families.

Hastings Little Wishes aims to make it a reality by granting little wishes.
