π΄**ATTENTION**π΄ Andalusian owners and breeders.
Do you have an unregistered Pure, Australian or Part-bred Andalusian?
The Andalusian Horse Association of Australasia is pleased to offer the 2025 registration Amnesty.
The amnesty is an opportunity for owners of any unregistered Andalusian to have their horse/s registered.
Further information below πor please contact the AHAA Federal Secretary Cinzia Troiani - [email protected].
AHAA Amnesty β 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025:
Amnesty Intent: The purpose of this amnesty is to register horses, both Pure and Part-bred, that have not yet been registered with the AHAA.
Owners are encouraged to contact the AHAA Federal Secretary to discuss the specific circumstances of their horses.
If an owner lacks the relevant paperwork, such as a service certificate, they must be prepared to provide their horse's DNA or obtain DNA to prove heritage.
Additionally, owners must have permission from the breeder of their horse and be current members of the AHAA to apply for registration.
https://www.ahaainc.org/forms
Obtaining DNA Profiles: DNA profiles can be obtained from other breed associations, including ANCCE, if members have access or can request the profile to be sent to the AHAA.
ANCEE Registered Horses: Owners are required to provide a copy of their horse's passport and DNA profile.
ANCEE registered geldings may not need to provide DNA profiles unless the horse was used for breeding prior to gelding.
The DNA profile is necessary to establish the foundation profile for future breeding or registrations from that horse.
Registration Classifications: Registrations may fall under different classifications such as Pure Spanish, Ix, 2x, Australian Andalusian, Australian Derivative, or Iberian.
Owners should understand that in some cases, their horses may not qualify for the requested classification and may be offered an alternative, such as a 1x or Andalusian Derivative.
Definitions of these classifications can be found on the AHAA website: https://www.ahaainc.org/the-andalusian-standards-of-excelle
It is recommended to discuss registration details with the Federal Secretary.
