Today was a reminder of what these boys have worked so hard for all season. From the opening kick-off, they showed determination, discipline and plenty of heart.

The boys worked tirelessly in defence, and from there, they built momentum and played together as a team. Their hard work eventually paid off as they ran away with the game.

Brothers threw everything they had at us, but our boys stood strong and refused to let them break through our defence.

As a coach, I couldn’t be happier with what I saw from the boys today. The effort, teamwork and commitment were outstanding.

Semi-Final Match Report 🏉🔥

We faced the Eagles at Leonay Oval in an early morning battle, with some of our Raiders still waking up! But when it mattered, the boys got the job done.

A much better first half set the platform, but the second half saw our communication and line speed disappear, while poor ball security gave the Eagles hope of a comeback. Credit to our Raiders for digging deep and holding on when it mattered most.

Semi Finals Report: Week 2 Elimination
Western Vikings vs Brothers

After an amazing win against colyton last week, team would be eager to repeat that same feat against a formidable opponent in brothers.

Game was as tough as it would get and as each minute drew closer to the full time siren, the intensity would pick up and even though our boys trailed 8-0 halftime, our last minute surge wouldn’t be enough to keep our season alive. 😢

Throughout this entire season, I’ve seen the growth within each player that has taken the field this year, and from pre season til now I’m honestly proud of each one. Their hard work and efforts are all testament of how well a team can be built on the back of being disciplined both on and off the field. I hope they all have learnt valuable lessons from this season as much as I have as a first time coach.

Thank you to my manager Sarah Hewes, trainer Tyler Holmes for all your hard work and support throughout this year, couldn’t have done it without you guys 🫶🏾 big shout out to all that had helped fill in as trainers and managers throughout the season, I appreciate you all 🙏🏽

Thank you to the Cgrade Coaching staff, Paul, Peter, Netty, support staff and the entire team for all your support, knowledge and guidance throughout this season. Definitely got the best bunch of individuals leading the way with our seniors.

To our families and friends who have been there from the start, my deepest gratitude goes out to you all for not only supporting the club but also entrusting us to guide and help teach your sons to not just be a great football player, but a greater version of themselves.

Finally to the club, Western Vikings. It has been an incredible experience and privilege to take the field each week with our team to represent our amazing club. Thank you to the Admin, Committee and all that are involved to make this club what it is today. I’m very grateful you gave me the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful community and I look forward to seeing what happens next season.

Div 1 Cup Grand Finale - 16 Girls

Our Valkyries have delivered a tremendous season showing an incredible amount of heart every time they’ve stepped onto the field despite injuries this season. They’ve faced every challenge head on and earned their place on the biggest stage. A massive achievement and a true reflection of the hard work from our girls, coaches, families and everyone who has supported them throughout the season.

We appreciate the respect shown to our Western Vikings girls. There’s no doubt St Marys have had an outstanding season, and that Round 8 battle proved just how competitive this matchup can be.

Our girls carry the experience of previous heartbreaks too. They know what it feels like to come close, and they know exactly what it takes to give everything when the stakes are highest.

We may be labelled the underdogs, but these Vikings girls have never been afraid of a challenge and now… ONE MORE RAID. ONE MORE BATTLE. ONE MORE CHANCE TO MAKE HISTORY. ⚔️

Just want to give a huge shoutout to the Western City Tigers for welcoming our C Grade boys to train with you the other night.

Thank you for setting the standard and giving our boys a glimpse of what they can strive for in the years ahead. Your leadership, professionalism, and the way you carried yourselves left a lasting impression, and our boys walked away humbled and inspired.

A special thank you to Coach Ti for taking the time to share your knowledge, advice, and skills with the boys. It was appreciated.

It was a reminder that it’s bigger than the club colours we wear. At the end of the day, we’re all working towards the same goal helping our young players grow into better footballers

Congratulations girls on a successful season topping the division with only one game falling short in the international challenge last night against comets. We can’t wait to see what you girls have to show next season in the new format ! SKOL ! ⬛️🟩🟧

Preliminary Cup Finals 13 Girls Division 1 Vikings vs Windsor

Our 13 girls showed plenty of heart, fighting their way back into the contest and refusing to give up until the final whistle. Unfortunately, the Wolves managed to hold on, bringing our girls’ season to an end.

A massive congratulations to the entire team on an awesome season. Development shown throughout the year has been something to be proud of.

A special acknowledgement to Coach Carlos and his staff, who poured their hearts and soul into this team. The time, commitment and belief he has invested into these girls goes far beyond the scoreboard, and their improvement throughout the season is a credit to his dedication.

Heads held high, girls. Be proud of how far you’ve come and the way you represented the Vikings this season. The raid may be over for 2026, but the journey is only beginning. ⚔️
