🔴⚪🔵 McDonald's Thurgoona Volunteer of the Week 🔵⚪🔴

This week’s McDonald’s Thurgoona Volunteer of the Week is Peter Knorpp.

Peter has been part of the Bulldogs for many years and is a Life Member of our club. For the past 20 years, he has been our Head Trainer, along with spending years on the committee and helping out whenever needed.

Every weekend, Peter is there on game day making sure our players are looked after from start to finish. Whether it’s preparing players before the game, attending to them during the game or making sure they’re taken care of afterwards, Peter is always there when he’s needed.

It’s not just his knowledge and experience that makes Peter such a valued volunteer. He is always happy to help, no matter what the job might be, and does it with a smile.

After 20 years of looking after our players, Peter continues to be someone our teams and club can rely on every weekend.

Thanks Peter for all that you do for the Bulldogs. We really appreciate your time, commitment and ongoing support of our club!

📣 2027 COACHING EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Following an exciting and successful 2026 season, the Thurgoona Football and Netball Club is now seeking Expressions of Interest for Football and Netball coaching positions for the 2027 season.

We are looking for motivated and passionate coaches who have a strong focus on skill development, player growth and creating positive team environments.

Positions are available across Senior Netball, Junior Netball and Junior Football.

If you are interested in coaching, please email your Expression of Interest to [email protected]

Both experienced and aspiring coaches are encouraged to apply.

If you would like to discuss a coaching position before submitting your EOI, please reach out via email to arrange a time to chat with the relevant coordinator.

All successful applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, the appropriate coaching accreditation and a current Working With Children Check prior to the commencement of the 2027 season.

We look forward to building on the momentum of 2026 and welcoming a passionate group of coaches to lead our Bulldogs into the 2027 season.

🔴⚪️🔵 GRAND FINAL WRAP UP 🔵⚪️🔴

FOUR PREMIERSHIP FLAGS! 🏆🏆🏆🏆

Congratulations to our 13 & Under, 15 & Under and B Grade netballers, and our Under 17’s footballers on their premiership wins! What an incredible achievement and one you should all be incredibly proud of.

To our Under 14’s footballers and C Grade netballers - while the result didn’t go our way, we couldn’t be prouder. Reaching a Grand Final is a reflection of the hard work, dedication and commitment you’ve shown all season.

Bringing home four premierships is a pretty special way to finish an already incredible 2026 season. The flags are certainly worth celebrating, but they are just one part of what makes this year such a success. The growth of our players and junior programs, the strength of our leadership, the commitment of our volunteers and families, and the strong sense of community within our club are all things we can be proud of.

We’ve loved what 2026 has brought, and we can’t wait to see the momentum keep rolling into 2027.

Enjoy the celebrations and a well-earned off-season.

After months of training, tough games, big wins, hard lessons and countless hours of commitment, six Thurgoona Bulldogs teams are ready to take the court and field at Sandy Creek.

🔴⚪🔵 UNDER 14s FOOTBALL
🔴⚪🔵 UNDER 17s FOOTBALL
🔴⚪🔵 13 & UNDER NETBALL
🔴⚪🔵 15 & UNDER NETBALL
🔴⚪🔵 C GRADE NETBALL
🔴⚪🔵 B GRADE NETBALL

Every one of these teams has earned their place in the Grand Final.

Week in, week out, our players have shown up, worked hard, backed each other and continued to push themselves. Behind them have been coaches, team managers, trainers, scorers, runners and countless team volunteers who have given their time and energy to help these teams get to this moment.

Tomorrow is their final chance to put it all out there. To play with courage. To trust the work they have done. To back their teammates. To give everything they have.

Whatever the scoreboard says at the end of the day, we could not be prouder of every player and coach who has helped get our six teams to a Grand Final.

And what a day it will be!

With the first game kicking off at 8:50am and the final game starting at 1:15pm, there is a full day of Doggies in action at Sandy Creek.

So head out to Sandy Creek, wear your red, white and blue, bring your voices and cheer our teams home!

Six teams. One club. One BIG day.

Play hard, Bulldogs. Back yourselves. Leave nothing in the tank.
