Let's clear something up.

When most people hear "CrossFit", they picture young people going flat out and someone shouting at them.

If that's kept you, or your mum or dad, away, we get it.

Our new 11am Longevity Class is the opposite.

Small group. People your age. Strength, balance and mobility, done slowly and properly.

Nikki coaches every session and scales every movement to you.

No one here is trying to break records. They're trying to stay strong enough to keep doing the things they love.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11am. First class is Tuesday 27 October.

Tag someone who's been saying "that's not for me."

Never been to a CrossFit class? You don’t need to know what to do.

That’s the bit that stops most people. Walking in, not knowing the movements, worried everyone’s watching.

Here’s the truth: nobody expects you to know anything.

Every class starts with a coach walking you through the warm-up. What we’re doing, how to do it, and how to scale it to where you’re at today.

You don’t need a plan. You don’t need to Google the WOD. You just need to turn up.

BITTER HARLEY X DT: DONE. AND THAT’S THE LAST COMMITTED CLUB WOD OF 2026.

This morning belonged to Harley L, and the Saturday crew showed up for it.

A heavy single, a short rest, then five rounds with the barbell in your hands the whole way. Grip cooked, legs cooked, and everyone still chasing the next round.

Committed Club takes a break now and comes back in January, bigger than ever. Between now and then, keep your streak going. Keep showing up, keep stacking sessions, and walk into the new year already in the habit.

Congrats Harley, and well done to everyone who got through it.

“I’m too old to start.”
“I’ll get fit once things calm down.”
“Lifting will make me bulky.”

Sound familiar? Nikki hears these from women over 40 every week, so we put them to the test. Watch to the end and see how many you’ve told yourself.

The truth is your 40s are a great time to start, and strength training is one of the best things you can do for your energy, bones and confidence.

Your free perimenopause swap list. Takes 60 seconds.

More cardio and less food used to work. Now it leaves you flat by 3pm and snapping by 5. It’s not you. It’s the playbook.

Swipe for three swaps from the list. The full Swap Check covers eight habits. Tick the ones that sound like you and get your own list: what to stop, what to start, and one thing to do this week.

Comment SWAP and I’ll send you the link.

Our coach Mick is taking on the GC50 Gold Coast 50km ultra.

You’ll usually find him on the floor coaching you through your session. What you might not see is the thousands of kilometres he’s logged on Strava to get here: early alarms, long weekend runs, and plenty of kilometres when nobody was watching.

50km is a long way, and he’s earned every one of them.

Drop Mick a message in the comments before race day and let’s send him off proper.
Go get it, Mick.

Shout out to our August and September Committed Club!

To make the Committed Club, you've got to hit 14 sessions in a month. That's no small thing when you're juggling work, family and everything else life throws at you, so every person on this list should be seriously proud.

A special congrats to Harley, who made the club in both August and September. Harley's Committed Club WOD is on Saturday 17 October, and it's the last Committed Club workout for 2026, so make sure you're there to get behind him.

We've got some big end-of-year things on the way, but the Committed Club will be back in January, and it's going to be super, super juicy. Keep an eye out for that one.

Swipe through to see who made it. Is your name there?

For a long time the advice was simple. Eat less, move more, push harder. And for a lot of women, that advice worked, until it did not.

If you have been doing everything right and still feel stuck, the plan is probably the problem, not you. When you undereat and overtrain, cortisol rises and your body reads the whole situation as a threat. It holds on. You push harder. It holds tighter.

There are three numbers worth checking before you change anything else: how many hours you are sleeping, how many sessions you are training each week, and whether you are eating enough to actually support that training load.
Most women adjust the wrong variable and then blame themselves when nothing shifts.

Which of those three do you think is the one letting you down?

If you are doing everything right and still waking up exhausted, I want you to hear this.
That is not laziness. That is not you falling apart. That is your body sending a signal that what worked ten years ago does not work the same way anymore.
The women I work with tried harder for years before they realised the problem was not effort. It was information. Their bodies needed something different, and nobody had told them that yet.
More cardio and more coffee are not the answer when your body has quietly changed the question.
Has anyone else been in that place where doing more just made things worse?

Tim’s been doing CrossFit long enough to know exactly what he loves. A fun workout that pushes him. Not necessarily burpees though.

He keeps coming back because it pays off. Every single time.

That’s the deal with this stuff. It’s not always fun in the moment. But you never regret showing up.
