Before this week comes to an end, on behalf of Garbutt Magpies Sporting and cultural association we'd like to do a special shout out to those who sit on our Magpies Cup Committee. Thank you for another great event..! It just keeps getting better each time. Bring on 2027! Already keen to see what it brings...until then there's little message from our President Uncle Randal:

🏉 GARBUTT MAGPIES CUP 2026! 🏆
What an incredible two days of footy! 🙌
Congratulations to Rasmussen State School on taking out the 2026 Garbutt Magpies Shield and Ryan Catholic College for taking the 2026 Garbutt Magpies Cup! 🥇
It was fantastic to see so many talented young players giving it their all, showing great sportsmanship and representing their schools with pride.
A huge thank you to the Garbutt Magpies, the organisers, volunteers, teachers and supporters who made this fantastic event possible. Grassroots sport is where future stars are made, and this tournament is a great example of community at its best.
