We are incredibly proud to announce that Waverley Night Netball Association has been awarded the Inclusive Community of the Year 2026 for our Waverley Stars All Abilities Program.

The Waverley Stars (All Abilities Program) is a truly inclusive program for people with a disability to play Netball. Waverley Night NA is proud to be able to support embedded mixed-abilities teams in the Waverley Night NA Saturday competition and a training program on a Sunday morning for people with a disability.

For many years the Waverley Stars program ran as a Sunday training program, then the past few years we have had an all abilities team in the Saturday competition, playing in the 13/U Under section as a team and this year we have seen a change, the introduction of 2 mixed ability teams, using players from the underage Waverley Rep Program teams to play in the Waverley Stars 13/U and 15/U teams in the Saturday competition.

This award is recognition for the work put in by the coaches Naomi, Carla, Donna, Jacinta, Tegan and Remy. The donation of time by Ian to open the centre on a Sunday morning and provide a safe quiet space to train and the Waverley Rep Program players who have bought in to including the stars as part of the program.
