BRING A BESTIE WEEK!✨🩷

From TODAY, Monday 21st – Saturday 26th September, we’re inviting all our NRG students to bring along a friend, sibling or neighbour who isn’t currently enrolled at NRG to join in the fun and experience what we’re all about! 🥰

Whether they’ve always wanted to try dance, cheer, or just want to have some fun with you — this is their chance! 💃🏼📣

👯‍♀️ A little reminder: Besties are welcome to join our Recreational classes as long as they fit within the age group of the class. Competition classes are not included in Bring A Bestie Week.

This year, NRG is celebrating 21 incredible years with our 2026 End of Year Concert — 21 ERAS! 🪩⭐️

We’re taking you on a journey through the eras of NRG, celebrating the memories and moments that have made NRG what it is today. This concert is going to be one VERY special celebration. 🥹🩷

Parents don’t always realise just how many benefits come from being part of a concert! 🥹🩷

It’s about so much more than getting up on stage and performing a routine. Concerts give our students the opportunity to build confidence, independence and resilience, while learning how to work towards something special with their class.

From remembering their routine and getting ready backstage, to overcoming nerves and performing in front of an audience, every little moment is helping them grow. ✨

They learn to support their friends, work as a team, celebrate each other’s achievements and experience that amazing feeling of being proud of something they’ve worked hard for.

And of course… they get to create some pretty special memories along the way. 🥹💗

The performance might only last a few minutes, but the confidence they gain can last so much longer. ⭐️

It’s Cheer 4 A Cause week! 🎀✨

In the lead-up to Cheer 4 A Cause this Saturday, 29th August, we’re encouraging everyone to DRESS IN YELLOW to help show their support! 🌼

We’ll also be collecting donations throughout the week, with all funds raised going towards the Cancer Council and helping support an incredible cause. Every little bit makes a difference! 🫶

We are SO excited for a very special afternoon of tumbling, stunting, cheering and FUN — all while raising money for an incredible cause! 🎀✨

“I’m worried my child is shy and won’t participate…”

We hear this all the time from new Lil Shining Stars parents — and please know, it is SO normal.

Some little ones walk straight into class confidently…�and others need a little more time to feel safe, comfortable and ready to join in.

Every child is different
For some kids it takes 2 weeks to settle.�For others it can take a couple of months — and that’s okay too.

At this age, so much of dance is actually about building confidence, trust, routine and independence. Sometimes they spend the first few classes simply watching, holding a teacher’s hand, or standing quietly — and that is still progress 💕

The biggest thing we encourage parents to do is:�don’t panic and don’t give up too quickly.
Children often surprise us once they feel comfortable in the environment 🌟

Some of our most confident performers today started as the quietest little dancers in the room 🥹
