When i saw that tree i knew i had to try some calisthenics skills, it becomes much harder to do skills as the surfaces isn't flat , unstable or not steady and sometimes even slippery.
But it is so much fun to get over the fear and discover what your body can actually do in natural environments.

What happens when calisthenics goes lifting weights ?
I liked the idea of lifting my bodyweight with one arm (77kg).
After personal training with a client , the plates and bar we used were still there , so i causally tested to deadlift those 80kgs with one arm and no straps on.
For the record , i do sometimes recommend strenght based specific exercices if needed to unlock a skill.
Note that on a personal level, i only train by practicing calisthenics but i do high level skills that requires strong grip and overall strength.
The result speaks for itself.
Without grip specific exercices or doing typical strenght training, it is possible to build quite strong grip and lower back strength.
Training for skills does transfer on strenght building in terms of weights too.
