The 2026 Men’s African Nations Volleyball Championship has been relocated to Tunis, Tunisia, due to health and safety concerns in DR Congo. The tournament will now take place 13–26 September 2026 and carries major significance as a qualification pathway for the 2028 Olympics and 2027 World Cup.

Nigeria’s men’s team suffered back-to-back defeats at the 2026 African Beach Volleyball Championship in Egypt.

🇳🇬 Nigeria lost to 🇦🇴 Angola 0-2 (13-21, 13-21) in their second match, before falling to 🇹🇬 Togo 1-2 (21-10, 8-21, 11-15) in their third match.

Botswana’s beach volleyball duo Sekao Jack and George Chiswaniso have reportedly been unable to participate in the CAVB Beach Volleyball tournament due to visa-related challenges.

This is particularly disappointing given the pair’s strong record on the CAVB Zone VI circuit, including their gold-medal victory in the 2026 second leg in Maputo, Mozambique. The tournament serves as the qualification for the World Championships and LA28 Olympics.
