LEADERSHIP, UNITY AND COMMITMENT TO THE BEAUTIFUL GAME

Leadership in football is not only measured by what happens on the pitch, but by the willingness of leaders to inspire, support, and invest in the next generation.

The Ghetto Family Youth Cup was honoured by the presence of Mr Kgotso Carlos Motaung, Chairman of the Francistown Regional Football Association and Northern Block Representative, whose attendance added great significance to this youth football celebration.

Representing Botswana Football Association (BFA) and COSAFA President, Mr Oabile Thona Babitseng, Mr Motaung not only graced the occasion but also made a meaningful contribution to the development of youth football by donating 10 footballs to each participating team. This generous gesture reflects a shared commitment to nurturing young talent and ensuring that aspiring footballers are equipped with the resources needed to grow and succeed.

By joining in the recognition of our young champions and supporting participating teams, Mr Motaung demonstrated the values that continue to drive football forward—unity, leadership, mentorship, and service to the game. His presence served as a powerful reminder that when football leaders stand alongside communities, they help create an environment where young players can dream bigger, work harder, and believe in their potential.

Football thrives when we work together. From administrators and coaches to parents, volunteers, and players, our collective commitment builds stronger pathways for the next generation.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr Motaung for taking the time to be part of this memorable occasion and to Mr Oabile Thona Babitseng for the continued support of grassroots football initiatives that strengthen communities and inspire young people across Botswana.
