Amherst Regional High School Athletics 2020-2021

Amherst Learning Center was excited to welcome Shannon Wolfe and her Learning Center students from CEC for a fun-filled day of connection and community.

The day kicked off with bowling and a pizza party, where students got to make new friends and share some laughs. A special highlight was a visit from our friend Jacob Melanson, who stopped in to cheer the students on while they bowled. The students were thrilled to meet him and even got some great photos together!

Later, the group enjoyed a walk through the heart of Amherst, meeting local shop owners and chatting with friendly faces throughout the community.

It was a day full of friendship, fun, and unforgettable memories. We’re so glad we could all share it together!

All CCRCE schools (including the Municipality of East Hants, and the counties of Colchester, Cumberland and Pictou) will be closed today, January 29, 2024, due to weather forecast and road conditions.

Office and worksites will delay opening until noon, with a reassessment update at 10 am.

Reminder for high schools: The scheduled culminating assessment day will move forward by one day.

Water Main Repair - Amherst Regional High School
A water main is being repaired this morning at the main entrance of Amherst Regional High School on Willow Street.
The main vehicle entrance from Willow Street is closed to all traffic as of 10:45 this morning.
Please use the secondary vehicle entrance closer to Townsend.
Traffic will be restricted in front of ARHS on Willow Street - please use an alternate route if possible.

Attention Students!!!

We are so excited to partner with the Amherst Veterinary Hospital for their 1st Annual Writing Contest!🐾 The grand prize winner gets $250 and will have their work displayed at the clinic!

The contest is open to Cumberland County kids in grade 7 through 12, and the theme for this year is "short fiction". Participants must submit their entries no later then 9am on November 15th at the Veterinary Hospital (311 Willow St, Amherst).

Here are more details:
🐾Only one entry per child,
🐾Writing must fit on one side of a standard size piece of paper (200-400 words max),
🐾Writing must be typed and in English,
🐾Contact information and name must be on the back of your work.

ARHS Athletics 2021-22: Updates and Information

Soccer: Tryouts for Girls' & Boys' Soccer teams are this week.
Girls are Tues Sept 7, Wed Sept 8 and Friday Sept 10.
Boys are Wednesday Sept 8, Thursday Sept 9 and Friday Sept 10. Both teams will run tryouts from 3:30-5pm.

Baseball: Tryouts for Baseball are Tues Sept 7, Wed Sept 8 & Thurs Sept 9 at 3:15 at Robbs Complex

Golf and Cross Country Team sign up is on the Google Classroom. More information on tryouts/practices will be in the very near future.

ALL athletes must sign the Google Form for their chosen sport tryout found on the ARHS Athletics Classroom. All students have been invited to this classroom.
