Baby swim is about so much more than splashing and having fun — it helps babies become comfortable and confident in the water while introducing important early water-safety skills and building a positive relationship with swimming from the very beginning.

Water Safety Week starts tomorrow — don’t forget to bring a change of clothing to class! 👕🩳

💦 Why do we practice water safety skills in everyday clothing? 💦

Because accidents don’t only happen when children are wearing goggles and swimsuits.

Our Real-Life Water Safety Classes are designed to prepare young swimmers for situations they could actually face — whether it’s an unexpected fall from a dock, boat, pool deck, or shoreline.

By practicing in day-to-day clothing, swimmers learn how to stay calm, float, tread water, orient themselves, and call for help when it matters most. While these situations can feel overwhelming, confidence comes from preparation.

At Big Splash Swimming Academy, we’re not just teaching swimming lessons — we’re teaching life-saving skills that can be applied in the real world.
