We're excited to bring you Mental Performance Training with Larissa Mills & The Mental Game Academy Co.

We spend a lot of time helping players build their skills, hockey IQ and conditioning. But there’s another part of the game that can have a huge impact on how an athlete performs: the mental game.

These are skills too and they can be learned, practiced and strengthened.

Throughout the program, players will learn practical strategies and tools to help them:

• Build confidence and resilience
• Navigate challenges and setbacks
• Manage performance anxiety and pressure
• Improve focus and emotional control
• Stay motivated
• Develop leadership skills
• Perform with greater confidence and consistency

And these are skills that extend well beyond hockey. Players can use what they learn at school, at work and in everyday life. For athletes navigating the increased demands of U18 hockey, high school sports, post-secondary opportunities and whatever comes next in their athletic journey, this is an opportunity to develop a part of their game that doesn’t always get enough attention.

For: BWHA U18 Players (U15 are welcome)
Format: Virtual Sessions
Starts: October 5, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM
Duration: 6 Weeks
Cost: $150 + HST per participant

Register on RAMP.

The Barrie Sharks High Performance Program (HPP) brings together Sharks who are competing at or pushing toward the highest levels of the game, with development that goes beyond hockey skills to build stronger athletes, teammates and leaders.

And our NTR Kick-Off showed exactly what we want this program to be about.

Players competed hard, encouraged one another, made new connections and had a lot of fun along the way.

High performance isn’t only about how far you can go as an individual. It’s about the culture you build around you.

Thank you to our players, families, coaches and volunteers for an incredible start to the season — and a special welcome to the new families joining our Sharks community.

Here’s to a great year ahead 🦈
