As Barrie’s only registered environmental charity, we aim to inspire responsible environmental choices that build a sustainable, resilient, livable community. We do this through free events, plant sales, repair cafes, fundraisers and more.

Please visit www.livinggreenbarrie.com/events for more information on our upcoming community events this fall.

We are excited to announce that Firebird is a proud recipient of an Ontario Trillium Foundation Capital Grant! These funds will allow us to fully equip our recent new shop at Penetang St and St Vincent St with tools and equipment and multiple work benches so we can help more people get on bikes and teach them how to keep them running smoothly.

Big things are coming! We will have a grand opening when it’s all set up! Stay tuned!
Thank you Ontario Trillium Foundation

2026 Bike Poker Ride Results Are In!

We had a record-breaking 25 teams, comprising 85 people riding bicycles around Barrie to 29 different shops and businesses, raising an amazing $3300 for Living Green Barrie and Firebird Community Cycle!

Thank you! To everyone who participated, our local businesses and partners, .bar Restaurant for hosting our event, those who contributed to our auction... we couldn’t do events like this without all of you.
