The IATA Rec League is back again for another amazing summer! Come join us in the this Friday, May 29, for draft night where the captains and teams will be announced. The doors open at 6:00pm.

If you aren’t familiar with the IATA Rec League, each summer we split the Chieftains into 4 evenly matched teams and play some competitive hurling and football games. This all leads up to the finals in August where we play for the championship! (Swipe to see last year’s winners)

After weeks of football training in preparation for the McNamara Cup last weekend, it was great to be able to break out the hurls again!

As the summer grows closer, we are starting to get ready for the IATA Rec League. Draft night is next Friday, May 29, in the ICS where captains and teams will be announced!!

If you’re interested in playing this summer, don’t hesitate to reach out. Newcomers are always welcome!!

Rain, shine, or sparkles, there were smiles all around this weekend at the McNamara Cup! Although the scores may not have been in our favour, it is always good fun to play new teams.

A big thanks to .gaa for hosting a great tournament, and to all the teams who joined forces with us to help keep the games competitive and fun for all!

This weekend, the Chieftains Óg attended the Western Canadian Youth Championships in Penticton. They had the pleasure of joining forces with Edmonton Wolfe Tones GAA Óg to become team Alberta and take on the mighty forces from Vancouver Le Chéile.

After a day of games, team Alberta walked away as Senior Hurling & Senior Football Champions! Our gang played their hearts out and left it all on the field on a very hot day!

A special nod to birthday boy Ben who turned 10 and celebrated by drinking from the trophy with the team at the end of the night!

Massive thanks to Darren, Paul and all the crew in Vancouver who organised the incredible tournament, we’re counting down the days until we can go back and defend our titles!

With our last training session complete before the weekend, we are feeling ready and excited to take on the McNamara Cup in Victoria. We will see you soon .gaa!

A big shoutout as well to all the Chieftains who completed their CPR training earlier this week!

A big thank you to everyone who came down to play or watch the game today with the Aussies! It was a beautiful day for a match and lots of fun.
