Open water swim is on for tonight

Triathlon events, much like swim meets, depend on trained officials and volunteers to help ensure races are safe, fair, and successful.

If you are interested in learning more about the sport and supporting our athletes, we encourage you to participate in the upcoming Triathlon Level 1 Officials Course, led by Andrew Armstrong and Jackie Crowell, Level 2 International Officials.

Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
Time: 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM
In-Person Location: Loyalist Hotel, Summerside, PEI
Online Option: Zoom

Parents and volunteers have the option to attend in person in Summerside or participate online through Zoom.

We especially encourage parents of competitive and pre-competitive young triathletes to take part. The course is a great opportunity to better understand the rules of triathlon, what officials look for during races, and what your athletes can expect on race day.

Volunteers and anyone with a general interest in triathlon are also very welcome!

Participants who are in Summerside will also have the opportunity to gain practical officiating experience during the TriLobster events on Sunday, August 16.

Course Fee:
A $25 donation to help cover the cost of the course is appreciated but not mandatory.
