Help shape the future of soccer in our community.

Seaway Valley Soccer Club is seeking volunteers for two important volunteer Board of Directors roles: President and Vice President.

These leadership positions help guide the Club’s future through regular Board meetings, strategic decision-making and support for priorities that benefit our players, families, coaches and volunteers.

You do not need to be a coach or soccer expert. We are looking for reliable, community-minded people who care about youth, sport, inclusion and helping SVSC continue to grow.

🔴⚪ 2026/27 BLAZERS COACH ANNOUNCEMENT | JORGE MENESES LOPEZ

Next out of the Blazers box: Jorge Meneses Lopez, Head Coach of our U16 (2011) Boys Blazers for the 2026/27 season. 📦⚽

Jorge is already a familiar face to this group, having worked with the 2011 boys during the past season and stepping in to support the team when needed. That experience gives him a strong understanding of the players, the group dynamic and the standards required as they move into the next stage of their competitive pathway.

Jorge brings a committed and player-focused approach to the role, with an emphasis on creating a positive training environment, helping players continue to develop technically and tactically, and building the consistency and accountability needed at the U16 level.

Continuity is an important part of this appointment. Having already built relationships with the players, Jorge is well positioned to help the group continue progressing together through an important stage of their Blazers journey.

We’re excited to have Jorge leading the 2011 boys for the 2026/27 season and look forward to seeing what the group can achieve together.

Next out of the Blazers box: Stuart Cruickshank, our U12 (2015) Girls Pool Lead for the 2026/27 season. 📦⚽

Stuart brings strong leadership experience, a positive approach to player development, and a good understanding of this group from his previous involvement with the 2015 girls.

As Pool Lead, Stuart will help bring the group together under one connected development environment, working with the coaching team to support players across the entire pool and create consistency in training, expectations and player progression.

His familiarity with the players, combined with the leadership and approach he demonstrated through the selection process, gives him a strong foundation to guide the group through an important stage of their Blazers pathway.

We’re excited to have Stuart leading the 2015 girls and look forward to seeing the group continue to grow in confidence, skill and enjoyment of the game.

Blazers assessments begin this weekend, and new players are absolutely welcome.

Nearly 500 players are already registered across our U8–U17 age groups, and there is still time to join them.

If your player is looking for:

🔴⚪ 2026/27 BLAZERS COACH ANNOUNCEMENT | DEREK LACROIX

Next out of the Blazers box: Derek Lacroix, Head Coach of our U15 (2012) Boys Blazers for the 2026/27 season. 📦⚽

Derek is already a familiar face to this group, having played an important coaching role with the 2012 boys over the past season. That existing relationship gives him a strong understanding of the players, the group and what will be required as they take the next step in their competitive pathway.

Throughout the selection process, Derek stood out for his leadership, commitment to standards and ability to provide structure and accountability, while maintaining a positive environment for players to develop and enjoy the game.

Continuity was also an important consideration. With several important years of youth soccer still ahead, we’re excited to have Derek leading the group and helping build on the progress they have already made together.

He’ll be supported by a strong coaching group, with the goal of continuing to challenge the players technically and tactically while developing the standards, confidence and team culture needed at this stage of the Blazers pathway.

We’re excited to see Derek and the 2012 boys get started.

🔴⚪2026/27 BLAZERS COACH ANNOUNCEMENT | LEO (JIMMY) MACEACHERN

Next out of the Blazers box: Leo (Jimmy) MacEachern, our U12 (2015) Boys Pool Lead for the 2026/27 season. 📦⚽

Jimmy brings a wealth of leadership experience in youth sports and a strong understanding of how to create an environment where players can grow, enjoy the game and continue building confidence.

He is also already familiar with this group, which gives him a valuable understanding of the players and where they are in their development. That familiarity, combined with his leadership background, will help provide a positive and connected experience for the boys throughout the season.

As Pool Lead, Jimmy will work with the coaching group to support player development across the full U12 boys pool, with a focus on learning, teamwork, enjoyment and continued progress.

We’re excited to have Jimmy leading our 2015 boys and look forward to a strong season ahead.

Next out of the Blazers box: Zacc Pidgeon, our U10 (2017) Girls Pool Lead for the 2026/27 season. 📦⚽

Zacc brings great energy to the group and a strong understanding of what matters most at this age: helping players build skills, confidence and a genuine love of the game in a positive, enjoyable environment.

His focus with the U10 girls will be on creating sessions that are active, engaging and development-focused, while giving players the freedom to learn, make mistakes, compete and have fun together.

As Pool Lead, Zacc will work with the coaching group to support all players across the 2017 girls pool and help provide a strong foundation for the next stages of their Blazers pathway.
We’re excited to have Zacc leading the group and look forward to seeing the players continue to grow throughout the season.
