Join the Sudbury Rowing Club on Ramsey Lake, located in the heart of the city, for National Come Try Rowing Day.

With Sudbury’s beautiful lakes, rowing is a natural way to get outdoors and access the water during the summer. Participants of all abilities will have the opportunity to get on the water in a rowing boat and experience the club environment firsthand. This event is a chance to see what rowing is like, ask questions, and explore whether the sport might be a good fit for you.

Our adaptive equipment will also be available for the duration of the event. Come discover a welcoming community sport that gets you outdoors and offers lifelong opportunities for fitness and fun.

Whether you’re new to sport, returning after time away, or just curious to learn more, this is your opportunity to:

✔️ Connect with local athletes and organizations

Our docks are coming out of hibernation and heading for the water — but we can’t do it without you!

Whether you’re a long-time paddler or just love supporting local community spaces, we’d be thrilled to have your help. Bring your gloves, your good vibes, and maybe your camera — because yes, cranes are involved!

A quad, two doubles and a single made it out this morning for our opportunistic late October row. Thanks to Abi for driving our safety boat and to Heather for coxing the quad!

SRC rowers, safety boat will be out for one final row tomorrow morning (Saturday Oct 18) at 8 am! Come out for what should be a beautiful fall morning! Dress warmly and in layers.
