Dunbrack Street, encompassing the communities of Fairview, Clayton Park, Rockingham, and Spryfield, as well as the Kearney Lake and Larry Uteck areas. This area, known collectively as Mainland North, is one of the highest growth areas in Halifax Regional Municipality, and is one of the most ethnically diverse communities in the province. Halifax Dunbrack Soccer Club is proud to have that diversity reflected among our members. The principal objective of the Club is to ensure the opportunity for all players to participate in organized, high quality programs of team play and skill development, at levels appropriate for each individual based on ability and commitment. Our Club
HDSC is a not-for-profit society registered under the Societies Act of the Province of Nova Scotia. HDSC is operated by a Board of Directors elected annually from among the members of the Club. On a full year basis, HDSC employs three permanent staff members including a Club Administrator, Program Manager, and a Club Head Coach . We employ a further 10-12 Technical Assistants in the Summer and 4-6 Technical Assistants in the Winter. During the Summer Season we will register approximately 1500 players including players from U-6 to U-10; players from U-12 to U-18; and Senior A and Senior B Players. To assist our paid staff we recruit approximately 150 volunteers from the HDSC Membership annually to serve as Coaches, Managers and Board Members. Added to this each of our 65 teams usually calls on a further 3 or 4 family members to help with fund raising, phone calling, and game day requirements. All these figures are reduced by approximately 66% for the Winter season. Our annual budget is approximately $250,000 of which 90%-95% comes from player registration fees and the balance comes from the Corporate Community in the way of Sponsorship and Club Fundraising Projects. We are always looking for volunteers and sponsors to help in any way possible. Just give our Club Office a call at 902-455-0078. Objective
