Ten years ago today, The Tragically Hip took the stage for their final concert. Our city was beaming with pride, with thousands gathered here in the arena and at the Springer Market Square, while millions across Canada watched and shared in a moment that felt bigger than all of us.

It was surreal. Emotional. Beautiful.

A decade later, our name may have changed, but the privilege of having been the place where that final show happened will always be part of who we are.

Relive the moment this Saturday, August 22nd, 7 p.m. at Springer Market Square, as Kingston gathers once again to watch The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration on the big screen, in the same place where thousands came together a decade ago.
