Miss DAISY graduated from her Canine Life and Social Skills BA program! 🌼🐾
This sweet girl has been working on foundation skills for her future therapy dog journey, and she is off to such a beautiful start.
Therapy dog work begins long before the vest.
It starts with connection, confidence, polite greetings, settling, focus, body awareness, and learning how to work around everyday distractions.
DAISY and her family have done a wonderful job building those early skills together.

📣 CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS! 📣
We still need a few volunteers for a Companion Paws Canada Final Evaluation 🦮✨
📅 When: Saturday, June 20th
📍 Where: One Smart Cookie K9 Services Inc.
📍 Address: 5210 E Wolf Creek Drive, Lacombe
⏰ Time: Volunteers arrive at 12:45 PM for orientation
📝 Evaluations start at 1:00 PM (we will be done by 1:30pm or shortly after)
A variety of tests will be performed, and volunteers will be assigned to different stations! ✍️ Some of the assignments include:
🔹 Pushing or riding in a wheelchair 👩🦽
🔹 Walking with a cane or crutches 🩼👨🦯
🔹 Using different props 🛒🚲☂️
🔹 Petting & handling the dogs 🦮
🔹 Acting opportunities 🎭
We also need one or two dog-savvy kids to help out! ⛹️🛹🚴♀️
