We have produced many high performance athletes that travel to tournaments across Canada and the world, achieving podium level results. What a fantastic weekend for our Regina Y judo girls who attended the 3 day Female Retreat Camp in Imperial, SK hosted by Judo Saskatchewan.
They enjoyed high‑level training with Olympian Catherine Beauchemin‑Pérard, who shared her experiences from the World Championships. After training, the girls spent the afternoon doing a flower‑pot activity and playing pickleball, and they wrapped up the day with a cozy bonfire complete with marshmallows and cookies.
The camp ended on a high note with Katie receiving an award for embodying one of the judo moral codes: politeness.

Yesterday’s achievement was the result of true dedication, hard work, and commitment as we proudly earned the title of 2025-2026 Judo Sask Provincial Champion.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the incredible support of everyone at Regina Y — our coaches, athletes, and parents who consistently give their time, energy, and heart to the club.
Congratulations to the entire Regina Y community, and thank you to Shinmura Judo Club for hosting a successful tournament. 🥋👏🎉
