🏁 Veteran Spotlight – Mark Andersen 🏁

From 1978 to 1983, Mark Andersen raced the #70 Street Stock at Kings Park Speedway, capturing the 1980 Track Championship. While many remember him from his years at KPS, Mark’s passion for racing continues today as he still competes in the Can-Am Sprint Car Series.

Join us Saturday, August 8 for Race Day #8, featuring a full afternoon of regular racing along with our Veterans Race as we celebrate the racers who helped build the history of Kings Park Speedway.

For the first time, we’ll be welcoming outdoor vendors to the Stu Kirby Memorial Invitational, adding even more to an exciting weekend at Kings Park Speedway.

Jim “Sharky” Braden brought plenty of personality to the track and created memories that still bring smiles today. We’re proud to recognize Sharky as part of this year’s Veterans Race.

Join us this Saturday, August 8 at 4 PM as we celebrate the racers who helped build our racing history.

The 2026 Stu Kirby Memorial Invitational is just around the corner, and we’re looking forward to welcoming racers from all race tracks for one of the biggest racing weekends of the season.
