🎉 Exciting Changes at Ehrlo Sport Venture! 🎉

We’re delighted to announce some exciting leadership changes within Ehrlo Sport Venture!

After many years of leading as the Sport Venture Manager, Gloria Patrick is stepping into a new role within the agency, as the Director of Housing and Sport Venture. Gloria’s heart is driven by the opportunity to engage with players, families, volunteers, and community partners. From building relationships in our community to supporting a growing staff, she has helped nurture Sport Venture into the program it is today. Her passion for making sure every child has the opportunity to play has been at the heart of her work. ❤️

With every new chapter comes an exciting new opportunity. We’re so happy to announce that Chase Pelletier, our current Sports League Coordinator, will be advancing into the role of Sport Venture Manager. 🤩

Chase has been an important part of our Sport Venture team and has spent countless hours developing our five barrier-free leagues. His enthusiasm for sport, his relationships with our participants, and his commitment to making our programs welcoming and accessible make us so excited to see him take this next step. 👏

⛳️ Our team was ecstatic to be invited to the OneHoop golf tournament again this summer. We were able to fundraise $1705 to support our programs and met lots of folks from organizations and businesses who shared how they work to invest in communities. It was a beautiful day of connecting and we are extremely grateful for this partnership. 🙌

🧡 We are proud to announce that OneHoop has committed to sponsoring another season of the Bauer First Shift program where we will be able to fit 30 Indigenous youth with brand new hockey equipment and offer six sessions of on ice training! This is our second year running the program with support from our friends at Hockey Regina 🏒

⚾️ That’s a wrap on an amazing Ehrlo Baseball Rookie League season! ⚾️

Saturday was all about celebrating our players and the season they shared together! Our EBRL wind-up included food, lots of smiles and a well-deserved medal for every player. 🥇

A huge thank you to our players, families, volunteers and staff for showing up, having a positive attitude and helping create such a welcoming experience all season long.

And thank you to Jays Care Foundation for supporting this league, helping ensure every child has the opportunity to play, learn new skills and be part of a team.

💜 Sport Venture staff attended the International Overdose Awareness day event. It was powerful to hear the stories shared, interact with other service providers and to hold space for those struggling with addictions. We strive to provide opportunities for families who may not have the chance to participate in sport and play and we were able to share information with community at the event. We are thankful to be able to support and attend. 💜

💫 Yesterday, the Ehrlo Sport Venture team was proud to attend the 9th Annual Ranch Ehrlo Society Powwow. 💫

👏 We want to thank all the organizers who dedicated their time and care to deliver this event and to all the dancers and drum groups who shared their talent with us. The agency is also celebrating 60 years of service and had a historical tour set up that showcased the programs over the years. We’re grateful for the opportunity to celebrate culture, connect with community, and learn together!

❤️⚾️💙 Our mini-ball players celebrated this seasons success by showcasing their skills on the diamond! The rain held off for our game and the players all received medals and a meal after the play. It was wonderful to see our youngest participants demonstrate all that they’ve learned. We are grateful to Jays Care Foundation for their support, our volunteers, staff and families involved.
